My wife and I stayed at Cortijo Azahar in July and have decided to return in the Spring of next year. We spent a long time reviewing the area and carefully choosing the place we thought was right for us. We wanted to be in REAL Spain but within easy reach of a beach, some cities to visit and in... We stayed at Cortijo Azahar for two weeks Sept/Oct. The whole property sleeps 7 so for just my fiancee and myself and our dogs we had masses of room to ourselves. The house is very comfortable, plenty of seating areas, satellite tv, etc. Large kitchen which is very well equipped, nice gardens and pool. The large corner bath is fabulous... More

My husband and I booked this villa for one week in September 2012 and really enjoyed our holiday here. We loved the large pool and the tropical gardens, which were well maintained and we also loved the idea of picking our own avocadoes straight from the tree! The rooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with... More

I stayed here with my family for a 2 week holiday in October this year. The main issue I had with the place was that it is not within walking distance to any bars or restaurants. The area the house is in isn't very picturesque in that all you can see when you step outside the property is miles of... More

It's a nice house, as a building, spacious, and a nice pool. The garden is lovely, and clearly cared for. It's shame there's no view. The downsides though; There is a non-stop chorus of barking hungry local dogs and chickens. And the owners dog, upstairs is constantly pacing up and down during the night making weird scraping noises on the... More

Two of the reviewers below , Helen B and GB, stayed at Cortijo together as one family. I would like to reply to the Review written by GB, the matriarch of the family, who stayed in the Poolhouse en-suite. 1. We have 2 dogs not just 1 and they live in our apartment at the top of the House, which... More

Stayed here for a week at the end of March. What a lovely villa with a lovely lush garden. It used to be a guest house/B&B but the owners now let the villa out self catering. The villa has a lot of character, very well equipped and a very nice garden where you can pick your own oranges and avacados... More

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at Cortijo Azahar on several occasions over the last two years, in fact every time we visit to either relax or keep abreast of our 'parcel' of land nearby, we will without doubt spend it here. There is always a warm and friendly greeting and however you choose to spend... More

Cortijo Azahar has everything a guesthouse needs, a beautiful house ( and private poolside casita), pool, and stunning garden. If you need to relax a bit, just go to Anne and Ian, spend some time in or at their pool or garden, play with the lovely dogs, enjoy the great breakfast they serve on the terrace and have a great... We recently spent 4 nights at CORTIJO AZAHAR; it's a unique B&B, tucked away in Las Zorreras just a 5 minute drive from bustling Motril town. On arrival, the British owners (Anne & Ian) were friendly and provided a very welcome complimentary drink on the terrace. Stayed comfortably in the poolside casita, private from the main house and rather romantic... More
