A four day stay, very friendly people, Very clean but nothing particular, no nice bar for a cosy drink, no restaurant on a holiday day. They have a parking and you can leave your car on the seafront out of season without cost. A very nice restaurant a little further down on the street with a nice bar. Good food,... More

Stayed here for 4 nights recently. It's actually located in La Herradura ,not Almunecar. Room was clean with good room service every day. Breakfast on the sunny roof terrace very enjoyable - buffet with a lovely range of fresh fruit, cooked meats, bacon & eggs as well as cereals. Free wifi was clear & strong -a real bonus. The real... This is an excellent hotel for 3 stars! The receptionist was very friendly, my room was clean and the aircon worked really well. My "double" bed was two singles pushed together which I found frustrating during the night (I'm a roller!) but this was the only downside to the room. There was a mini bar and the prices were reasonable... More

Lovely little hotel in La Herradura. We were greeted by a smiling and helpful receptionist. We then took the elevator to our room which was on the fourth floor. When we went into the room we checked the bathroom out first. It was a good size and all walls and floors tiled and spotlessly clean. We then went into the... More

We put up three couples, English or Spanish speaking, over several days here as an overflow from home. All were very enthusiastic about the rooms, (although one small room couldn't be upgraded because there was a convention of underwater photographers and the hotel was full) , the location and the 8€ buffet breakfast on the hotel's magnificent terrace with a... We stayed here for 5 days in March. The hotel is so clean and the staff helpful- especially Rose. There was a religious festival at the time and lots going on in the town- we were in a prime spot and were not that bothered by the partying at night. Breakfast and evening meal more than adequate and the drinks... More

This is an hotel that offers simple Spanish elegance. Just like La Herradura itself. The rooms are spotless, large and airy. You can imagine the hotel hasn't changed much in the last 20/30 years which adds to it's charm. La Herradura itself is a very classy, beautiful seaside town that attracts mainly Spanish tourists so you can expect a much... More

This is a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and well furnished. I was most impressed that along with the huge double bed there were two chairs to sit on - so many hotels only give you one - and on the veranda there was a table and two more chairs. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is... More

I cannot recommend the Hotel Almijara highly enough! After several very disappointing hotel stays in Spain (two or three of them, by the way, highly rated on Tripadvisor), it was a pleasure to move into the Hotel Almijara for two weeks. First, to be clear, it is not in Almuñecar (although that may be its postal code) but it is... More
