This hotel is very well situated for all amenities. Although it is a small hotel the bedrooms are spacious with a good size .. It is very clean. The food which is a buffet is good but not a lot to choose from. It was one meat dish one fish dish although there was plenty of it. No desserts only... More

I visited Almuñecar in November 2013 for a month. The weather was fantastic and I was delighted with Hotel Carmen. I stayed for 4 weeks, half board, and enjoyed a lovely dual-aspect room on the first floor. The hotel is very well located, next to the gardens and close to the town and the sea. Food was good, traditional and... More

Hotel is basic but very clean and well located, in few minutes you are on the beach. We came here for few days for diving and found this hotel good value for money. I also recommend diving center ScubasuR, great people and fantastic experience!

Perhaps not the best time of year to review as Spanish hotels are always very busy at this time. However the staff were very friendly and coped with the pressure at meal times very well. We travelled with an assisted Spanish pensioner's government plan and got exactly the same treatment as full paying customers. The party was basically Spanish and... More

The placement of the hotel is great. Quiet and 3 minutes to the beach, straight ahead. The hotel staff really nice. A family atmosphere. A excellent room service. No luxury but basic need covered beyong average.

This hotel is quite basic but very clean , the staff may seem surly but they do not speak English, hey they live in Spain it's not unusual not speak Spanish only. We got by without having any Spanish language and the staff will smile if smiled at Our room was fine with a very small balcony but it was... More

Spent one night here. Twin room bed and breakfast 50 euros - has to be good value. Very clean hotel and didnt find the staff surly at all. They only spoke Spanish, which being in Spain kind of didnt surprise me actually. I speak the language and found them very helpful when needed. Only issues - the safe in the... More

Had the pleasure to stay here and found it perfect. The hotel is modern and clean., the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was large by European standards, the breakfast was varied and tasty, and the best was the tremendous view from the roof top terrace. Straight ahead is the Alhambra, to the right are the Sierra Nevada mountains.... More

There is no doubt this is a nice hotel but I didn't think it was worth the cost. First, I thought the staff was very unfriendly, pretentious and almost rude. I got the impression that I was imposing on them and felt much less like a guest. Although the hotel is nice and clearly modern, I had major problems with... More
