We were not expecting much due to the modest room rate but we could not have been happier, the cave was a wonderful experience and on a cool winters day outside, it felt like walking into a centrally heated room inside. We were greeted on arrival and served over an excellent dinner by Maialen, who would be a credit to... More

Great little hobbit home for one night stay. Yes, the outside is a bit ramshackle in places. It looks like the owner keeps adding new bits but the Spanish weather soon makes them look tatty. The wooden shade/sunbathing (?) platforms aren't quite like the ones you see in glossy brochures. That's because the local chippy knocked them up using some... More

This is unlike anywhere we've ever been. Although the satnav had trouble locating it a friendly passer-by guided us towards the hotel and it was well worth the visit. The lady at reception, who also served the food, was charming and friendly. The food is very simple but honest, varied and well cooked. You can choose your time to eat,... More

The hotel is so tired, pool you would not want to swim in, dirty, dangerous & needs urgent attention not many places to sit, benches made from wooden pallets. But I must say the proprieter was very accomadating & the food was OK. But would we stay there again. NO NEVER !!!!!

Wonderful experience. Amazing views over snow capped mountains. Had 2 rooms on upper level. Very friendly person in charge who came out to greet us with 3 friendly dogs and 3 cats. Had tapas and drinks which was more like main meal. Just kept coming. Breakfast included tostada, platter of meat and cheese, pate, bowl of fresh fruit, yoghurts, mixed... More

What a great place once you FIND it. Garmin GPS was a total fail on this one. Entering the given street name and number will take you around in circles. If you enter TORREMOLINOS 44 you will have better luck. You will be on a narrow, winding, two lane road and it will appear that you have left town. Do... More

It's very relaxing and beatiful place. Is, as all the caves in the areas, a little bit outhside the city (Guadix) I loved to stay there! Some reviews are too strict!! Extremely strict for what we find! The rooms are clean and comfortamble. They have 2 floors (the best one is the upper one for the view of the sierra... More

We booked this as we wanted the cave experience which is exactly what we got. We had a cave on the top level which had fantastic views over the Sierra Nevada mountains which still had snow on the tops when we stayed at the end of May. The cave itself was fine with a lovely tiled bathroom, plenty of hot... More

The bedroom was very clean and spacious and wonderfully cool considering how hot it was outside! The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant - good Spanish food. Drinks at lunchtime were served with tapas. There is work going on which makes the outside look a bit of a mess. The swimming pool was welcome... More

The place is under renovation/expansion, so it was a bit untidy on the outside. But the cave was very nice and clean. The way the cave and the public areas are decorated is however slightly absurd. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but perhaps not always well organised. Their generosity in serving free tapas, when you order a drink... More
