We spent 5 nights here in early September 2014 and had a wonderful experience. Our room was spotless, well-appointed, and spacious, and came with a fridge as well. Would highly recommend getting a terrace room (ours was on the first floor), as the extra privacy is great. I want to be as comprehensive as possible with this review, as this... More

Highly recommended. Low-key, friendly, relaxed with incredible food. Not too expensive and they were hugely helpful recommending walks. Much cooler than the coast, so take a jumper! Cooling pool, great views. Dinner is on patio in main building and definitely the best option, rather than going to the local village. We wanted to stay longer.

We have just come back from 4 nights in this hotel which is located about 7/8 kms outside Granada. Even thought it is so close you feel as if you are miles away from the city which gives it a tranquil, relaxing feel. The hotel is small but the service is intimate and personal. We were in room 7 which... More

We stumbled across this beautiful hotel whilst looking for somewhere convenient to stay while watching La Vuelta cycle race. What a find it turned out to be. This is a beautiful place with so many special touches that a stay here is totally recommended. The hotel is a little off the beaten track but that adds to its appeal. The... More

We started our 10 -day -journey staying 4 nights in this lovely place. The views are fantastic and the staff made us to feel very welcome and cozy. The place and the Monachil village down in th3e valley are both small so it gave us that peaceful and relaxed atmosphere that we were looking for. The breakfast is served on... More

The hotel has a stunning location and is exceptionally well run by the owners, who obviously care deeply about their hotel and their clients, as do their friendly and professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Our evening meal was exceptional and delicious and we ate it on the romantic terrace overlooking the incredible view. Breakfast was... More

My first stop on our honey moon was La Almunia Del Valle. I was greeted from my car by the owners who gave my wife and I a tour of the grounds. We opted for dinner as we arrived in the evening, wisest decision taken on our holiday! We had an amazing 4 course meal cooked with the freshest of... More

Last year we spent a week in la Almunia del Valle, and had a perfect stay, so we decided to come back. This time we took the comfortable bus from Malaga to Granada, and a taxi to the hotel. It helped that we knew directions, because the hotel is 1 km outside Monachil (and some 150 m higher!), overlooking the... More

Of all the places we stayed during our two week trip in Andalusia, this was the best. Book immediately! The location was stunning, the pool and gardens were relaxing, the terrace where we ate was lovely. There was even a masseuse by the pool, who gave the best massage I have ever had in my life! We stayed with my... More

The Almunia del Valle is a little out above the mountain village near Granada Monachil, accessible only by a narrow road. Traveling by car is therefore essential. We were greeted on our arrival by the owner very warmly and were guided throughout the hotel. The entire hotel is beautifully and comfortably furnished, especially our room ("Superior" with terrace), that had... More
