It is 20 minute drive from Grenada to la almunia. The hotel is located outside a small village on a preferred hillside place with spectacular view over the valley. The town itself has some small and nice looking restaurants for those who prefer to go out for dinner - Grenada is too far away for dinner. We had dinner twice... more

Before we arrived at La Almunia del Valle we were concerned that we would be too far from Granada, but all of our concerns were set aside during our stay. The centre of Granada, and the Alhambra palace, is less than half an hour away, and Los Alpujarras and the Sierra Nevada are similarly close. The service that we received... more

This little oasis in the Sierras way exceeding any expectation we had. The view from our terrace was spectacular (Room #7) The owners and staff were friendly and more than helpful (Maria speaks excellent English); the dinner and breakfast were superb; the setting incredible, all appointments and amenities just simply terrific; beautiful pool and surrounding area. Very easy to drive... more

My wife, children and I have been traveling throughout Europe since 2004, relying heavily at times on Trip Advisor. We have never contributed our own views, so I decided that it is about time we do so. Looking back now on our trip to Spain last August, I feel compelled to write about this wonderful place to offset the two... more

When you feel like relaxing, book this hotel. The location is far away from stress and chaos. The garden with pool offers a beautiful view to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. The two hosts are very friendly and helpful. You really feel a guest in their house but with the comfort you would find in a luxery hotel. If... more

Stayed 3 nights with wife and son (6) in order to do Granada and surrounds. It's a small place and more of a country house type atmosphere. We really liked it. The food was very good and the owners are really good fun. The staff were all great. We had a small-ish room with no terrace/balcony due to late booking... more

We arrived after a period of heavy rain (rare!) to find our room had sprung a leak and the place was full. The owners could not have done more to make us welcome and to overcome the inconvenience. The room was not large but was designed to make great use of space. The views from the room and the hotel... more

We just came back from a perfect stay at this hotel. To begin with we made a booking error. When I mailed them just we were going to the airport, this was taken care off by them straight away. They also confirmed our dinner and send us a route description. Nice. We were travelling with our 6 month old daughter.... more

We had a brilliant and very relaxing time at the Almunia. We arrived after some difficulty finding the place - although its remoteness is one of it's greatest features so it was worth the detour!!!! The hotel is run by an extremely accomodating and friendly couple. We were givien several recommendations of restaurants etc... worth visiting in the local area... more
