From some of the recent reviews I would not have stayed here except that my professional seminar was being held at the hotel so it became a matter of convenience. The rooms could definitely use updating (carpet was dirty in spots and furniture showing signs of wear) but considering that rooms in downtown Atlanta routinely go for more than $200-$250... more

Should have known from the rate. No where did anyone mention the fact that you have to pay an additional $20 per day for parking or that you have to pay an additional $10 per day for WI-FI access. The Midtown Hotel which is formally the Wyndham Midtown is horrible. It was an option for a family wedding. The hotel did not notify the wedding party until September that they were no longer a Wyndham. They lost their Wyndham affiliation because they did not comply with a much needed renovation. Was booked to stay here through work...couldn't choose my own hotel, this is where they stuck me. GROSS! This is 2 star at best. Rooms are VERY old, dirty and look like they haven't been vacuumed in 17 years. The highlight of this hotel is its location. It is squarely in Midtown, 2.5 blocks from the MARTA stop, down the street from the Margaret Mitchell house and a 10 minute walk to Piedmont Park.
