I absolutely love it at the Highland Inn & my next trip to Atlanta, I'll be booking my stay here. Yes, it is an older hotel, but that adds to the charm. If you're expecting the Ritz or something swanky, this IS NOT a place for you. If you've been to Europe & enjoyed the accommodations there, this is very very... More

This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Built in 1927, most of the structure has the original doors (with MANY layers of paint), plumbing, etc. The floors are not level. The faucets (both sink and tub) leaked 24/7. The girl at the front desk was not well trained. When I discovered that the TV remote in my... More

Great staff, although the checkin system was a bit odd. The continental breakfast was food, and the room size was decent considering the age of the building. The hotel was clean, although obviously outdated (the tradeoff of a historic building). The location was within walking distance to a few bars in a very hipster area, but parking was a nightmare.

Ok. I have never written a hotel review but this was worth writing about. First of all this is in a great area of town. Very old building and rooms are quaint and comfortable. I am ocd about a few things and first I check matress. It gets check mark so does the tub!!! Please do not destroy this hotel... More

Very old hotel, but clean and comfortable. Was originally built as budget tourist hotel with tiny rooms. BUT, the rooms have been combined, so enough space but oddly laid out with giant added on sprinkler fire suppression system hanging from the ceiling. Parking in lot next door is free and only for the hotel and restaurant, but could possibly run... More

Older hotel we were not sure what to expect! Pleasantly surprised, perfect for a night out in the highlands area without having to have a designated driver or expensive taxi/uber fees. You can walk to many bars from here. Room was large and comfortable. We would stay again and recommend to anyone needing a room for the night in the... More

The Inn was amazing, very good price and the employees were very nice to me and my girlfriend. The room floor was kind of "uneven" but that's fine. The location of the inn was near cool places like Little Five Points and some parks, in a very peaceful neighborhood! It has a nice thai food restaurant nearby as well, great... More

I'm going to give this five stars, even with the problems noted below, simply because the value here for the location you get is possibly better than anything else in the area. You could easily spend the whole weekend just walking around the area and its terrific small houses and neighborhood shopping/restaurant strips. Restaurant next door has a great patio,... More

The location is perfect! Pet friendly area with lots of shops, bars, and food joints in walking distance. The downtown area is a short drive or bus ride away. The hotel itself is older with small rooms. Sure it could use some renovation, but the quirks & quaintness add character in my opinion. The hotel manager, Kristin, was very helpful... More

We were very impressed. The hotel is ancient so be prepared for uneven floors, ceilings, etc. But the staff is helpful and friendly. The room was clean, not stained or old looking, the walls were freshly painted and the furnishings were fairly new and clean. The room set up was interesting, it looked like two old rooms had part of... More
