Stayed here four nights during business/pleasure trip. Learned from staff that the hotel was originally apartment complex for students built in 1924. The hotel is currently being renovated floor by floor. I did not see any construction during my Fri-Tuesday stay however. The outside was very nice but once I got inside, I knew I was in for it. As soon as we walked into the room everything was run down. BEWARE ..says renovations start Jan 2008 WRONG some renovations have already begun and they BEGIN with hammering and sawing at 7:00 in the morning! Ignore the negative reviews. I stayed here recently because their room rates were dramatically lower than everywhere else in town. My room faced the courtyard and appeared remodelled. A sink, microwave, and refrigerator were a plus.
