I can't say enough about the Gerogian Terrace! When I checked in I arrived early and not only did the woman at the front desk allow me to check in she also gave me a beautiful suite overlooking Peachtree Street and the Fox Theater - and I booked on Priceline so I was expecting the worst room in the hotel.... Overall, this is a lovely place to stay. The hotel still has great charm, as it is an historic landmark. It is an ideal place to stay if you're seeing a show at the Fox Theater (an amazing venue directly across the street). My room was essentially a 1 bedroom apartment, spacious and comfortable. The hot water in the shower... More

I really wanted to stay at the Georgian Terrace because of its location and historic character. However, some of the reviews on this site gave me such pause that I actually made backup reservations at the Marriott just in case. As it turned out, we loved the Georgian Terrace and cancelled the Marriott reservations within minutes after checking in. We... More

I was a bit concerned because the reviews were so variable, but we had a great time. Check in was smooth and early, ample room in our two bedroom suite. Staff were great, pool was fantastic as was the workout room. My husband is a swimmer and was thrilled to find a junior olympic pool on the roof. Hotel is... More

I booked with the hotel (not a third party travel site) in advance for a double room with two queen beds. When I checked in, promptly at 3 pm (the earliest possible check in time) they didn’t have any double rooms available. They put me in a temporary room so I had some where to put my luggage, but told... More

The Georgian Terrace Hotel is a landmark in Atlanta & directly across the street from the Fabulous Fox Theatre (Playhouse). I made reservations nearly 5 months early for my family to ensure we had a two bedroom / two bath to enjoy after going the play. I even called the hotel to ensure our reservations were in order. When I... More

Room was tiny, tiny, tiny, with a double bed taking up the majority of the space. Complimentary high-speed internet did not work. To try to plug in, one has to lift up the mattress (seriously!!!) to get to the outlet. The cover of the outlet behind my bed was coming apart and it turned out that nothing would plug in... More

The negative reviews that some have left are just baffling. This is a wonderful, historic hotel on the National Registry of Historic Places--the "Grand Dame of Atlanta," as it's rightly called. The soaring hotel building has been beautifully restored, and the location (right downtown, across from the historic Fox Theater) just can't be beat. Although the lobby, Ballroom, and common... We stayed at the Georgian for a wedding in April. As such, we got a good rate on what ended up being an enormous room - more of an apartment really. We had a kitchen, walkin closet, washer/dryer, and bathroom. It was clean, but not remarkable. If you want to use the kitchen, they charge a fee for dishes etc.... More

The room was literally the size of a walk-in closet and was dirty. You could hear the music from the Fox Theater blaring. Drunken idiots were screaming in the hallway all night long. I got about two hours of sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is an overpriced joke. Check out my photo of the room and see for... More
