Can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been said, but this is a wonderful little inn in a charming town. David and Evelyn are great hosts, and you have to make sure that you get to meet their dachshunds, Spanky & Alfie (they aren't in the inn all the time, so be sure to ask if you want... more

I stayed at the Village Inn for a short break with my husband in March, and we were seriously impressed with this B&B. From the beautiful decor, to the amazing breakfasts, and the warm welcome of the owners, this place is hard to beat. I am not always a fan of period decor, but here it was done sympathetically and... more

My better half and I pulled into the Village Inn not knowing what to expect and were completely blown away by the beautiful layout, ambience, and charming hosts. David and Evelyn have built a home that embodies the timeless warmth and quirky character that Vermont is known for. Every square inch in the house contained beauty. The bed was HEAVEN,... more

First of all we were completely taken by the charm of what we saw online and the charm of old world details of the decor. on arrival we were greeted by david and evelyn who are incredibly sweet and truly welcoming. the home is beautifully brought back to life and tastefully "olde" and instantaneously comfortable, far surpassing what we saw... more

We stayed at the Village Inn in March of 2008 after reading the long list of postive reviews here. We paid extra for the best room - Room 1, seeking a nice weekend away from the city. And while I agree with many statements that the Village Inn is a pleasant experience, my wife and I both agreed that all... more

What a great inn! The Village Inn is well appointed and the ambience is perfect. David and Evelyn are charming hosts and serve a delicious breakfast. We were in a 2 room suite with a jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace - the room decor was luxurious and one can tell it was designed with great care. The Village Inn is... more

We stayed here en route to Stowe for a ski holiday, and thought we'd also sample the skiing at nearby Killington. We chose the Village Inn of Woodstock as our base for this based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Although it seemed like Killington might be a bit of a drive, the road is actually very good and it only... more

We went on a mini ski weekend in VT and decided to try something a little different and out of the ordinary. Neither of us has ever stayed at a Bed-and-Breakfast before so instead of staying at a boring hotel we thought we’d try this instead. In short we are so very glad we tried this because we had a... more

I thought it was odd that so many reviewers commented on the hosts, David and Evelyn. After my 2 days here in September I can understand all of the glowing comments. They really made us feel welcome and comfortable, espically after an early morning flight and road trip from Boston. A highlight of my trip was the enjoyable hour spent... more

We arrived in Woodstock after a very long car journey and after a couple of nights in a not-very-nice b&b so we were hoping and praying for a nice surprise which we certainly got! Woodstock itself was just lovely. You can spend a happy few hours wandering around looking at the houses and soaking in the atmosphere. The surrounding countryside... more
