We had originally planned on staying at a B & B just outside of Woodstock. When we drove into town, however, we noticed the Charleston B & B and decided to look at the rooms. Are we gald we did. We stayed a couple of nights during a tour of New England in the fall. What we found was a charming hotel, well run by its owners. My husband and I try to get away for a couple's weekend once a year. For the last two years we've spent our time at the Charleston House in Woodstock, VT. We had a family reunion last spring at the Charleston House, and had a wonderful time. The proprietors were warm and gracious, and the promised cat from the website made an appearance. The rooms were comfortably and luxuriously furnished, and the home-made breakfasts were great. The discounted spring prices made it a bargain for a weekend getaway. more
