My partner and I stayed at the Ardmore in early July when we came to Vermont to attend a wedding. We were absolutely delighted with both the Ardmore Inn and Woodstock Village. The Inn is on the main street leading into the village, and is easy to find. Parking is in the rear, off the street, and so very convenient. When you enter the inn, you feel like you are stepping back in time to a gentler, friendlier America.
Our room was the smallest the inn had to offer, but still comfortable for us. The small, but nice bathroom was re-stocked with lovely toiletries every day. I'm still using their lip balm!
Not all is picture perfect at the inn. There are a some spots where the paint has cracked or wear shows on the stairwell. However, this just makes it seem more like the home of a beloved friend rather than a pristine, cold hotel, where you're afraid to cough or to laugh out loud. No, this is like a beloved home away from home.
