On 6-22-09 I went to the Applebutter Inn. I was staying in the Royal Gala room. It was the biggest room there. I was staying with my mom, brother, and granny. When we arrived the innkeepers gave my family a tour of the inn. From that you could already tell that the innkeepers Michael and Barbara were very kind and... more

On our 4th visit to the Applebutter Inn in Taftsville, VT, we learned that it is now a green hotel. This is a quiet and elegant inn right outside of Woodstock. There are many places nearby and there is excellent access to Dartmouth College just across the river in New Hampshire. The innkeepers provide a relaxed atmosphere with an excellent... more

We just returned from our 4th stay at the Applebutter Inn. We have stayed at a few other places in the Woodstock area and this is our favorite! The Applebutter is an ideal place to stay if you want access to great skiing (downhill and X-country), snowshoeing, hiking, shopping, relaxing and eating! We always visit between Christmas and New Year’s... more

Barbara and Michael, the innkeepers at Applebutter, love what they do and as a result, the guests reap the rewards. The inn is beautifully decorated and sparkling clean with little touches everywhere to indicate to guests that every one of their needs will be met.......and more. The breakfasts were better than any restaurant could provide with Barbara expertly taking care... more

After months of buziness at work and before the family gathering of Thanksigiving, we took a night to stay at this lovely inn in VT. Michael and Barbara made us feel comfortable from the beginning, upgrading our room because of availability. Both the room and inn were warm and cozy as a fire was kept going in the living room.... more

Reading all the excellent reviews of the place got me reminiscing about our Honeymoon in this beautfiul b&b. If your dream vacation is beautfiul New England Foliage and quiet, simple nature walks with light breezes and smiling people, a stay in this B&B will just about make the whole vacation perfect! The innkeepers Michael & Barbara are perfect for their... more

We spent two summer nights at this b&b, thanks to TripAdvisor reviews. Our first night was in the miniscule Baldwin Room. Laughably small, but with a marvelous bed and small private bath across the hall. (It was the only room left.) The next night we switched to the agreeable King David room, with its sun porch, fireplace, wing-backed reading chair,... more

This B&B is a treasure above all travel treasures! Barbara and Michael are inn keepers like no other. This September was the third stay at the Applebutter Inn for my husband and myself. We truly love this little getaway. We have come to visit in fall, winter, and late summer and have never been disappointed, not even for a minute.... more

The most wonderful place I have stayed at. Wonderful, charming old house, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds! The hosts are so gracious and welcoming that you feel as though you're friends staying for a visit. The breakfasts are dangerously good, but the good news is that a walk by the river or up in the nearby hills will help... more

Barbara & Michael were there to welcome us to their Inn upon our arrival. We were given a guided tour of their comfortable and immaculately clean Inn and were made to feel like old friends from the very start. Each room has personal touches that give it a welcoming atmosphere. The morning brought wafting smells of the delicious breakfast that... more
