We booked this place on the unlimited golf package and unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there. We managed to get in 9 holes. The staff at the golf club were great. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated and the food we had at breakfast and in the dining room was very good. The problem with this place... more

I have to confess - I have always wanted to stay here from the first time I saw it in college. It is the ultimate charming inn in Vermont - not quaint (this is a big place), just wonderful, from its setting on the village green and location to the few streets with cute shops and restaurants, to its own... more

Overall this place is still top notch with a wonderful room and fine service. The location is ideal! I was not impressed with the food service. It is clear that the changes made to the dining areas in recent months need a close review. I have been eating here for years on trips to Vermont and was not impressed. The... more

The town of Woodstock and surrounding region is a delight -- while placed directly in the center is the stately Woodstock Inn. We had wanted to stay here for some time and the combination of an outstanding value via the "Serenity Season Package" and my wife's birthday gave us the perfect occasion. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were... more

First thing -- heads up for families. Pool is 1 and 1/2 miles down the road....no running back to the room still dripping wet to jump into a warm shower. Naturally a disappointment for the kids, Otherwise, room was very comfortable and practically sound proof except for some slamming hallway doors -- beautiful large marble bathrooms. Old hallways and carpeting,... more

While the resort had comfortable beds and comfortable surroundings, it just didn't cut it as a four star resort. The fitness facilities were 1.5 miles away. There was a shuttle but the driver couldn't be found when we inquired. The all white towels had rust stains on them and "tea and cookies" from 4-5 were non existant at 4:45 on... more

We showed up late to the hotel (around 9PM) and still found it to be worth every minute. I am a very picky traveler and I was thrilled with every part of our stay. I loved the rustic elegance of the decor and the service was amazing (I never say that... ever.) They were pleasant to us and all the... more

This was our third stay at the Woodstock Inn. Ski free during the week, the hotel amenities, and the lovely town are what keep us coming back. The downhill ski area, Suicide Six, is an ideal spot for families. It is a small, scenic ski area. We dislike crowds and it has never been busy when we were there. We... more

This past weekend was my first visit to Woodstock, VT and it is perhaps the quintessential New England small town. Village green, quaint shops, steepled churches and a covered bridge. The Woodstock Inn completed the experience as it is a great country inn perfectly located to enjoy the splendor of the town. Our room was super clean and very well... more
