The Zahara de la Sierra, to give it its proper name, is exactly what it claims to be: A two star establishment at a two star price and two star services. Our room was spotless, small but convenient and of course there is the often mentioned views over the lake.. Sure, the carpet in the passage can do with replacement... More

Great location. Free parking with a view over the lake. Rooms basic but functional. Breakfast is good coffee with toast and prepackaged spreads. Nice staff and service very good. Cant complain about the price or location

We considered several options for a white hill town on a recent trip to Andalucia and ultimately opted for Zahara de la Sierra - great place for a visit with breathtaking views over the countryside and the lake. It is very conveniently located for exploring the hike up the mountain to see the castle. The hotel is everything we wanted... More

We stayed here for three nights. The Hotel is in a good location, internet worked well, staff were nice, it was clean and had a wonderful view. Breakfast was not great and the hotel is looking warn at the edges. Still we would of given it a 4 out of 5 review, until check out. We negotiated a price on... More

Once splendid, this hotel has, lets face it, "faded" a bit. The rooms are fine, not too small, and clean. But the decor is old fashioned, the carpets a bit threadbare, and a lick of paint would come in handy. But the price to amenities ratio is excellent! The views cannot be rivalled. Set high in a beautiful pueblo blanco,... More

The hotel is built into the mountain, directly below the castle. Parking on the roof in the sun lifted the spirits – the view over the lake and across to the church’s belltower promised a lot. On entering the door, however, this optimism seemed ill-placed. The inside of the hotel is charmless and out of date. A flight of steps... More

We stayed two nights and loved it. The view from all the rooms is amazing. We loved Grazalema so much that we are going back . We are experienced global travelers and highly recommend the area and staying at this very special hotel. Excellent value for the money, check the promotional rates online

A "must-see" white village, Zahara de la Sierra is one of the most spectacularly situated villages in Spain. Hotel Arco de la Villa is a great destination hotel within the village. It is an attraction of itself. If you are looking for a unique place to stay with a breathtaking view and great value while you are traveling in Spain... More

We wanted to see rural Spain and swim in a lake in the mountains! Lovely hotel nestled on the rock face at the top of the village! Very friendly male host and good facilities! Big room and the most incredible view! Very glad we came! The village is so pretty with steep hills, lots of history and a lovely shop... More

The hotel is fab, all rooms with majical views over the valley and reservoir (great for a swim!) and is run by very friendly staff. The rooms are excellent as is breakfast faced with stunning views... but to be honest you won't be spending much time in the hotel! The village of Zahara is beautiful. The people are wonderful and the... More
