I think some of the people who have previously posted poor reviews must have stayed in a different hotel. It was spotlessly clean, the service friendly and not over bearing, the breakfast good. Great for a quiet break. The town offers plenty of choice for eating out. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we were very impressed with the hotel. more

Have visited Benahavis several times and chose this time to stay in the village, we chose the hotel over staying at a self-catering appt and were highly delighted at our choice. Gran hotel Benahavis is a very nice hotel, away from the coast wich look terrible by me with all the concrete. So Benahavis is a nice little town in beautifull surroundings. Drove from Malaga, Benahavis is well signposted and as you get nearer the hotel is also signposted so no problems finding our way there. At first glance the hotel is definitely 4*, closer inspection reveals a little 'tiredness' around the edges. However the rooms and general public areas are of a high standard. This is my fifth time to stay at the gran hotel. yet again rooms were spotless. If you have not stayed here before you can expect a very nice hotel and extremely clean rooms the breakfast is very good . My partner and I stayed at this hotel on the 19th August for four nights. Initially the hotel allocated us one of the bungalow rooms close to the pool and even though we had requested a non smoking room it was obvious someone had been smoking in the room, the smell was awful.
