This hotel is set among stunning scenery in the hillside overlooking the whole valley. We stopped for one night on our way from Malaga to Ronda and it was well worth doing. The hotel is right next to the rail station so very convenient to get to. There are lots of walks to go on and in the peak of... More

Our group of two families, very thirsty after a long walk, stopped by La Garganta for a drink. It ended up being two. The view was beautiful and the service rather pleasant. I'll make a special mention for the sangria.

Stopped here for lunch whilst touring the area.Huge portions, extremely tasty, starters & mains, couldnt manage dessert, though our friends did.The bill was very reasonable. The setting is very impressive with the cliffs & river.Would certainly consider staying here in future.

This place is out-of-the-way but definitely worth the trip. The drive to the hotel through the national park is almost worth the price in of itself. The spectacular scenery that surrounds the hotel is truly unique. The hotel itself is situated on the side of the mountain next to a quaint train station that is tucked between two deep tunnels.... Fabulous location, but waking up to the sight of a group of vultures circling above the hotel, followed by a solitary Eagle was breathtaking. La Garganta is the only hotel close to the sleepy railway station. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are contemporary but the outsides walls are adorned with farming antiques which helps create a very atmospheric... More

I have stayed here twice and absolutely love it. This hotel is a converted flower mill and the rooms are beautiful with high ceilings and wooden beams (at least the two that I stayed in). On the second visit we stayed in a 'duplex apartment' which had a lovely, little kitchen area, living room and spiral staircase to the bedroom.... More

Stayed here for 24 hours as it seemed to be the best option for the area of El Chorro (and probably was). Situated high looking down the gorge the views are spectacular and the hotel which has recently had a great deal of money updating parts of it - mainly the bedrooms, pool and terrace. Bedrooms are large, extremely well... More

This was quite a suprise. We didn't quite know what to expect and booked it because we wanted to see El Chorro. From the other side of the gorge it looks like a rather austere box of a building which doesn't exactly draw you towards it and there's a hydro electric plant below which doesn't add to its allure. But... More

While touring in the El Chorro region, we decided to have lunch at La Garganta. With stunning views over the embalse (reservoir) and the mountains from our table in the shade of the overhanging vines, we enjoyed a lovely Tapas lunch. The service was friendly and efficient and the meal was excellent. After the meal we had a good nose... More

we stayed in a two bedroom apartment. it has amazing views from the balcony. inside it is small dark and cramped. a very tiny kitchen, with no large mugs and we had to steel glasses from the bar so as to have something to drink out of. there is a large fridge, which is handy. the aircon works well and...
