We arrived late and awoke the next morning to a most stunning view of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Great owner who personally cooks you breakfast. Rooms are of a chalet type and had recently been upgraded. Unfortunately space was at a premium because there were 2 queen beds in the small bedroom. The fridge was in the bathroom! A great... More

Stayed 1 night and arrived late. Owners left a note and key for us, true,ed on the a/c so room was nice and cool when we arrived. Homemade family style breakfast was great. Be sure to call in advance as they are quite popular. Definitely would stay here again.

These are amazing, wonderful people who own and operate this cute motel. Spectacular views, excellent home-made breakfast and cozy rooms. This is a popular way-station for mountaineers, so you will have excellent conversation with the owners and the patrons during your stay. This simple motel will be a highlight of your trip.

Mt. Williamson Motel has cabins at the base of the Eastern Sierras. It's run by a cool couple that really understand hikers. They help in resuppliyng Pacific Crest Trail hikers and even giving them rides from the trail and back. We stayed in Mt. Williamson Motel because we were visiting Manzanar National Historic Site, the former Japanese internment camp. If... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabins, actually more little houses, are lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The owners are really friendly en willing to help. Perfect place to stay if you're looking fore a nice, quiet place on your road trip.

Though I give the review 3 stars, it wasn't to say it was a bad experience in the least. I try to be fair in my reviews, and the main reason I give it 3 stars is the value for what we got. We like the idea of having a "cabin" because sometimes it is hit or miss in a... More

My son, Will, who has stayed here 3 times, recommended this place and so we reserved a cabin there on our way from Santa Fe to Sacramento. The cabin was very comfortable and the owners were SO pleasant - it made the stay much more personal and delightful than other motels. The delicious breakfast was a communal affair with several... On my 353 mile walking trek to June Lake I needed a place to ease my bones and found the hotel on-line as highly recommended. It was a very comfortable place and the room was very clean. Wanted to soak in a hot tub after being on the road for so many days, but it took almost ten minutes to... More

Sorry for the delayed review. Why so late? We are making plans to return in September again! We stayed for two nights in late September 2013, coming out after 65 miles southbound. We just walked in and were welcomed by Dough & Strider. Great facilities: 2nd Queen bed covered to spread out our gear; hung things outside. They just acquired... More

Excellent place to stay. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful and memorable experience for our anniversary. They even recommended the best taco wagon in town. The cabin was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Despite being right on the highway, noise was not an issue. Would definitely return for another stay.
