This is my 2nd time here and I have to say that I love the atmosphere of this place! I understand why people say this place is a bit shabby, but that only leads to it's charm. You have a comfortable place to relax in the huge lobby in front of the fire on a cold night. Books surround you... more

Opinions about the Winnedumah seem to be somewhat divided. The last reviewer even called it creepy! I'm not surprised. Me and my wife arrived there one evening looking for any place to stay at a reasonable price and to be fair, I can see why some people might think that they've just stumbled into the Adams Family's house. It is... more

There is "historic" and then there is "creepy" and this hotel verges on the "creepy". After reading the reviews here and looking at the photos, the hotel seemed to have the all the qualities I was looking for in a charming little bed and breakfast hotel. I contacted the hotel directly. Marcus was very helpful and friendly when I made... more

I can not tell how thankful I am for Frank at the Winnedumah bed & Breakfast. My husband was traveling to Nv, he had been up all night , with going into to much detal my husband and our 3 small dogs were at the hotel, dogs in the car for the night. Frank noticed something was wrong with my... more

This place is worn out and just plain dirty. Everything is old and in need of major maintenance. Air conditioning is non-existent, those things in the bed are moving, floors were dusty and gritty. I wouldn't remove my socks and slept in my clothes, I didn't want anything touching me. Forget the breakfast, I couldn't get out of there fast... more

It has been the third time, second with the kids, that we stayed at the Winnedumah. We are pleased by the fact, that the Garzas keep up the flair which was initially brought in from their ancestor, a very busy, but also cordial lady with great personality. For the whole family a big spot to rest and enjoy. Will be... more

We stayed here during our trip to Las Vegas. It was a very charming and clean hotel. Every room was different. We had a lot of fun staying here! more

My husband and I checked in after a 3 week backpacking trip, weary and hungry. We wanted to support the local, funky hotel BUT- the shower was cold, there was mold and peeling paint everywhere, and the one restaurant in town was closed! "Don't worry, said the employee, you can eat at Subway." (the only other eating establishment in town,... more

Conveniently located to Mt Whitney, Alabama Hills and Manzanar historic site. This older, yet charming hotel/B&B has a very nice SW style decor to it. The owners and staff were extremely nice and accommodating. We got the last avail room for the night and it was dated. Room was spacious, yet rustic and came with a shared bath room. The... more

The first time I stayed here I was on the highway with trucks all night, so try to get a room in one of the wings of this 1927 classic with a cozy cluttered lobby and a helpful friendly owner-host who cooks a very generous and delicious breakfast, included in the room price. Last night we stayed in "John Wayne's... more
