My only recommend for this hotel is for the staff who were very helpful in all respects. If you are unfortunate enough to get a room to the rear of this hotel, then beware of the noise which starts at 3am with a skip lorry taking away the rubbish every morning followed by various delivery vehicles........all very noisey. We requested... more

Just returned from our third visit to Malta, the last being about three years ago. We stayed at the Santana Hotel, having had a free transfer from the Sunflower, which closed for winter in early November. We booked with Newmarket Holidays. Qawra is the better part of the concrete jungle that comprises Qawra and Bugibba. Hotels, apartments and facilities range... more

This was my first visit to the Santana Hotel to stay, been in Qwara Palace a few times before, liked the swimming pool and jaccussi, but that is where it stops ! We booked the Satana Hotel eight weeks ago, requested a front facing room on 4th -6th floor, also emailed twice requesting the same. We arrived to be told... more

What a lovely hotel.....very clean, food was lovely, staff were terrific and excellent location. We were a little worried at first as most of the people staying were elderly but how wrong can you be...we had a brilliant laugh with everyone but if you want to be alone thats fine too. Lots of people staying were on their own and... more

Just returned from a week stay at the Santana on bed and breakfast basis. Hotel and staff good enough choice for everyone at breakfast. Location excellent near the bus station. The TaPawli restaurant round the corner offers a range of superb food. The Great Wall chinese is good also. The downside of this is the time share touts they are... more

after we had arrived and found our room on the sixth floor we were more than content. However because we had an early check in we decided to go straight out for lunch. Upon our return we then procceeded to try and take a shower. However the water pressure was somewhat lacking so we had to run a bath instead.... more

We have just spent 5 days at the Santana, choosing this hotel from the reviews on TA. Our room was at the side of the hotel, overlooking Alex's bar. The room was a twin room as that's all that was on offer when we booked via alpharooms. The room was ok, no complaints and he maid was in early each... more

Arrived mid morning, felt we were a bit of a nusance to the female receptionist, foyer very dated, had read reports that said this & I agree with them all, clean but not really welcoming. Our room was at the back having requested a sea view! what we got was a bit of waste ground & a few feral cats... more

Having stayed at the Qawra Palace Hotel over the past 16 years, we decided on a change of hotel. We chose The Santana which is very nice from the front, although the reception area looks like a DFS showroom with all the sofas in it, making it look a bit cluttered. Our room was fine, view of wasteland at the... more
