From arrival to departure the staff and reception we received was fantastic. The rooms were clean and beds comfy, the out door pool was closed but the indoor was fine. fresh towels and beds made every day, Not a sea view but only 5 mins walk to the sea front. I booked as a family friendly as Easter for me... More

Hotel has good location and it was much better than I expected. Rooms are spacious and generally clean. Wide variety of food on breakfast. We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every one of them, there is a lot to do in Malta ;)

For a cheap holiday, then this is the place to go, and when I say cheap I mean cheap!!! You have a basic bed and bathroom, with the old type of showers that you have to use by hand otherwise it sprays all around the bathroom, breakfast compromises of cereals (choice of 4), bread, cheese, cake, jam, bacon and sausage... Have just returned from a 10 day stay at the st pawl, the weather was not good but that's out of any ones. Control. We stay room only as we like to eat out and about. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard and no one can complain about this, I have read reviews which state the rooms are... More

Recommend hotel for long stay in Malta. Guests booking for return in autumn as I will be doing. Good value. Previous negative reviews are correct but it is a case of you get what you pay for and the hotel is very good value for the price you pay for a package holiday. Daily maid service. Meals edible. Work out... More

Booking was with Porto Azzurro but on arrival was informed that it was full and was transferred to Saint Pauls (Pawl). Pleasant arrival as reception area was modern. Proceeded to check in and was informed rooms won't be released till 2pm,this was at 1pm. Not a problem, thought we'll have a drink or two, nothing open, restaurant, bar, pizzeria, pool... More

YOU DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE. I have to agree with the previous review. We ended up here not by choice but because our initial hotel was full! The reception is quite modern so when you get to the room it is a shock. Furniture is all very tired but functional. TV is still CRT variety with a... More

Hotel is contracted until May to have Italian language students staying each week, up to 120 at a time, very noisy. They have breakfast in another area, but have dinner before 19.15 because it's mayhem when they arrive to eat. Rooms not large, very clean, three types, overlooking pool, view over a sunny entrance area, or the singles side, no sun... More

We stayed in July 2013 with our two youngest children, who were then 15 and 17. Our rooms were adequate although the bathrooms were a bit tired and there was a lot of noise from the Karaoke bar in the evenings. We were facing the back of the hotel, overlooking residential apartments so we rarely sat out on our balcony.... More

A first visit to Malta, and three weeks was too long! The hotel was adequate. Our room was so dull we needed the lights on at all times and the hairdryer was taped together. The food was never hot, but we never went hungry. The entertainment, such that it was, was far too loud and the residents either went out... More
