QAWRA Palace Resort & SPA is often commended for its friendly and professional service, though interactions with reception sometimes fall short of expectations. Guests consistently laud the hotel for its cleanliness and the range of amenities, such as multiple pools and diverse dining options, although some suggest a need for maintenance updates. The hotel's location is well-regarded for its convenience, yet opinions on value and atmosphere are split, with some dissatisfaction over hidden costs and the dated ambiance. Lastly, while many enjoy peaceful stays, a few report disturbances from construction and nearby nightlife.

Can't praise this hotel enough . First trip to Malta , Spent 3 nights here & managed to get through 3 of the 4 restaurants they have on site . Food is incredible in everyone . Rooms big , good-sized bathrooms. Sea view rooms are amazing if you have the money to pay the extra . We were on a budget and had a garden view & balcony . It's very quirky and strange having a garden in the middle of a hotel, but it just works .the architecture is amazing the way the hotel goes under the road to the pool & the Lume restaurant . Roof top pool area great place for sunbathing . The bar is seasonal, but the area is well presented. Close to the local restaurant shops etc & motor museum. Nice walking around the cove on the promenade. Lovely place hard to be disappointed. Will definitely return .

‘Standard’ sea view room is spacious, bright and with a magnificent balcony looking out over the bay. Genuinely can’t remember better hotel food. Have to force myself not to eat everything. It’s all good. Even the Yorkshire puddings on Sundays. Wonderful location near the aquarium. Easy walk to downtown Qawra and Buġibba if that’s your thing. Bus station round the corner makes getting out and about easier. 30 minute stroll to Sirens FC stadium too, for when Saturday comes. Inevitably there are negatives. The dining room is huge and impersonal. Reception staff seem to be constantly run off their feet, and the bar area in the basement is fairly horrid.

What a very nice hotel, cannot recommend it enough we've been to quite a number of all inclusive hotels and I can genuinely say this beats them all, food was amazing and I can be quite critical but couldn't fault one meal except there being too much choice 🤣 which is not good for the figure! All of the staff we met were all very polite, helpful and couldn't do enough for you,I think maybe they could put something on the chair legs in Charlie's bar as People don't know how to lift a chair to move it 🤣 the entertainment was very good each night, the hotel is in a quiet area which was good for us as we were just after a chilled week all in all would Definitely recommend this hotel the only one thing is toasters 🤷🤷 why o why can these hotel's all over the place not get decent toaster's 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure someone will become a millionaire when they can sort this problem, but thanks to all at the hotel for a lovely week

We stayed here in early March. The check-in process was easy and by 2:30 we were in our room. The room was clean and tidy. The A/C did not work, when turned on it would pump out hot air. I later found out that although the hotel had A/C, they were not switching it on. This should be updated on their website. We were offered a fan. There are 4 restaurants - I should note, as an all inc member, you get to dine at 1 restaurant, once. I don't recall this being shown anywhere when we booked the holiday. The Jolly Trough - otherwise known as Da Vella (for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner) - I call it the Jolly Trough because it’s like a feeding frenzy at the pig zoo. The food is ok, however, if you have an allergy, stay away. I asked what was gluten-free at breakfast, I was told everything… including the potato croquettes which were coated in breadcrumbs. At lunch I asked if the stew was gluten-free, and I was told yes, only 10%… what does that mean? I was later told that the Chinese noodles were OK to eat, but when I asked the head chef, I was told no. Tsubu is their Asian themes restaurant, the food is again buffet style, I was lucky enough to get someone who knew what they were talking about. I was made some rice and beef which was tasty. El Vagabundo - their South American theme restaurant. The food was unauthentic and bland - buffet style. Lune is great. The cocktails and food were excellent (not part of the package) we ended up spending most of our time here. The barman, Mohammed was incredible. The staff make the place! Most are friendly and welcoming. Charlie’s Bar is the only all-inclusive bar, it is often crowded. The room has little character and smells. Drinks are nasty but I guess you expect that from an all-inclusive. The spa looks recently reconditioned which is a shame as the old one, in the hotel photos, looks nicer. The general area, pool, sauna and steam room are clean, however, the pool is cold, there is no jacuzzi anymore, it's now jets built into a freezing pool. Also, they seem to pump cool air into the pool room so you can’t just relax in there. 50% of the lockers do not work and the spa treatment in my opinion are overpriced, you can get an amazing Thai massage down the road for 1/2 the price. The hotel is spotless however as the week went on, our room became forgotten. We left the 'clean our room' door hanger out 4 times. 2 of the times we did not get milk, coffee or sugar replaced and by day 6 we had run out of shower gel as it was not replaced. When we arrived, there was a dead cockroach on our balcony, this was still there on day 8. Our room overlooked the courtyard, which was fine, until drunk people came back to their rooms, shouting and screaming which echoed around the yard, had the A/C been working, we could have closed the door and slept well. The internet is very slow around the hotel, so much so it’s a struggle to watch Netflix or Disney. The beds are hard and uncomfortable, my partner can usually sleep anywhere but we both struggled with sore tight backs as a result of the beds. Finally, the bathroom sink leaked.

Dear alexhF3511UY Thank you for your time taken in sharing your detailed review of your recent stay with us. We are sad to read that you did not have a positive experience during your stay and apologise for this. Our reception is available 24/7 should any guest have a query or concern and our team addresses it immediately. We are sincerely sorry if you had a bit of a wait in a queue which is usually during the check in at 3PM daily. All of our receptionists and staff speak English and more languages. We have clear signage on walls as well as all our elevators. We are a big hotel with eleven floors of rooms, four restaurants, two bars and three swimming pools plus a coffee shop too. In addition we have a Kids' Club and a Spa too. We also offer orientation tours to our guests to familiarise them with all our facilities. We do hope to regain your trust and host you again. Kind regards Lidia Lourenco Guest Relations Manager We do understand that you would have to take one of the lifts to get to your room and we apologise if this was an inconvenience to you.

Perfect hotel for my first solo trip! The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious! The animation team in the hotel were a lovely group of people who ran an amazing program as well as great evening entertainment! They made me feel very welcome and even though I was travelling alone I didn’t feel lonely! I had a great stay at the Qawra Palace and I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel gave false information from the start. When told at booking there would be bottled water in the room,a spa and pool (not the pool across the road)when asked at reception, was told there are water machines around the hotel.Ok strike one.We asked for the directions to the spa at reception and was told by a grey haired man it was closed (one of the reasons we chose the hotel was for the spa) Ok strike 2.We then asked directions for the hotel rooftop pool, this too was closed until the end of the week.On the weekend we looked forward to the evening entertainment to be told there was a private function,we were told we could use the rooftop pool area instead.Strike 3.Both the holiday company Buzz holidays and the hotel were both at fault for knowingly selling us a holiday they knew they weren’t able to provide.I have never seen or heard of a hotel where access was restricted, and falsify amenities. We have since heard other holiday makers were offered spa access at another hotel. At no time were we advised of this or the offer of this. We are still disputing these issues with Buzz holidays and the hotel and they both denied any responsibility. The reason it has taken so long to review. The only plus for this hotel are the welcoming staff at their buffet restaurant (we also tried to book a themed restaurant and that too was closed?) We have learned an expensive lesson. Oh I also forgot to mention there was building work outside the hotel which they also omitted to telling us at booking with Buzz holidays . We save hard for our holiday s so should be able to get what we pay for them.

Wasn't overly impressed with this hotel. Food very samey - breakfast choices same every day - no omlette station , no fruit cocktail although was melon or pineapple and half bananas so could do it yourself. Caribbean restaurant didn't really gave authentic carribean food. Asian restaurant wasn't overly different to main restaurant food. Font believe 'air con 365 days a year' - it's heat only in their winter so bedrooms were too hot at night for us and being on a busy road wasn't option to have door open. Take ear plugs - not only road noise but bedroom doors shut with loud clang so constantly being disturbed. Beds are singles pushed together but with single bedding. Hotel is clean but bedroom service varied as to who did it that day. Beds r made and towels changed regularly. Buses stop right outside so easy to get around. Easy walk to St Paul's Bay.

Dear sandragK5514IU Thank you for your time taken in sharing your detailed review on Tripadvisor. We are disappointed to read that you did not have a positive experience with us. We welcome all your comments shared. We strive to provide exceptional service, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by neighbouring doors. Our hotel is situated on an arterial road hence sea view rooms would overlook this road. We do offer rooms situated in quieter areas which then do not offer a sea view. We understand the importance of a peaceful environment for our guests and are actively working on improving sound insulation throughout the property. We are glad to read that you were able to create your own fruit cocktail but apologise if we did not meet your expectations. We do hope that you would give us another chance at hosting you on a more enhanced stay. Kind regards Lidia Lourenco Guest Relations Manager
