It is a nice B&B, laid out in a park. In general, I suggest to pick a B&B on a hill with a nice view. We had booked an apartment, with two bedrooms and kitchen. At 200 euro a night, not a steal. No service for one week. WLAN is working, but no mobile phone connection. A car is a... More

Ideally placed for Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano. Apart from Lucca what else do you want? Nicely appointed apartments, two pools, playground, volleyball court and an onsite restaurant. The small town of montaione has a couple of reasonably large supermarkets and is 5 mins drive away. Buffet breakfast was nice even if we didn't realise they'd cook omelettes to order... More

Pro Real old hous with original furniture and chimney, a lot of free space, kitchen, parking, quiet surroundings, independent thermostat - therefore it was warm in February, good breakfast, we have received a bottle of wine as a gift. The owner and staff were wery welcoming and ready to take into account any wish. There is a good restaurant owned... More

I took my girlfriend to Italy for the first time for Valentines day and we wasn't disappointed with the hotel nor the location. Set in the beautiful tuscany countryside it just felt very private, relaxed atmosphere and romantic ;D. Highly recommended!! Tip, make sure you hire a car as it is a drive to Pisa, Firenze or other towns.

Our family stayed in the Tinaia for a week in July. Each of the 5 rooms has en-suite and separate patio/entrance, although we only used the front patio area for evening meals. The communal kitchen is spacious and contains a much needed dishwasher! We brought our silver cross Kensington pram with us by easy jet, which was perfect for our... More

We spend a week at villa tinaia, wonderful house of five large rooms with en-suite bath to each, and nice dining room for all, fully equipped, nice pools and very helpful staff, including the lovely owner, Lucianna Massi, who also owns the starred restaurant, at the compound. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I guess that a spa... More

We went here several times and always enjoyed it. Great pool area with beautiful surrounding gardens, supurb restaurant, great B&B with excellent breakfast! The Masi family and their staff are extremely friendly and speak loads of languages. In summer the place to be for family with kids. In spring and autumn a relaxing place to discover Toscany.

Very child friendly place. Masses of space, lots of activites possible: 2 pools, volleyball, football, playground, tennis. The only thing that is missing is table tennis! The restaurant Casa Masi is lovely: food is excellent (menu does not change very often?), location outside and inside are really nice, excellent wine, special menu for kids. When we were there was a... More

Everything is likein the movie excepted that week ( 1st week of sept - the sun was not always present but there is nothing that the Masi family could do about it) . Our friend firmly recommended us ( and all her friends) Borgo san benedetto and we spent a week with another couple of our friends. We had the... More
