I understand this is a working farm not a hotel. Nevertheless, I don't think it is too much to expect a clean room, a working toilet, bedclothes without rips in them, light bulbs that work and running water. Sadly we got none of these things and left after just 1 of our scheduled 4 nights. If you want the most... More

For those who want some days of silence. for us who are in love with nature and amazing organic food. fattoria barbiallia is the ultimate experience. I went there with family and friends 3 times in the last couple of years. Fattoria Barbialla is Tuscany at its best. First of all the scenario is outstanding. we enjoyed walking in the... More

My girlfriend and our 18 month old boy had a blissful week here in September, staying in the beautiful Brentina Ovile apartment. Even from the moment we arrived at the farm, our hosts Kyre & Stefano were so helpful, accommodating, spoke English (instead of my rubbish Italian) and answered all our questions about what to do, and where to go.... We were very disappointed when we saw the room at Barbialla, after reading the wonderful reviews at TripAdvisor. The apartment was cold, dirty and looked as though it had not been cleaned for months. I have allergic rhinitis from dust mite allergy and just a night here gave me a stuffy nose and a severe bout of allergy, testifying that... More

We are very sorry that this guest was unhappy with their choice to stay with us. Barbialla Nuova is not a hotel, but a working farm with vacation rentals, and we are very clear about this on our website, in the booking information that we send to each prospective guest and in our TripAdvisor responses. Though we ask each guest... More

We loved this place so much. Very rural, comfy but rustic, well equiped kitchen. Even the afternoon it rained was lovely. Wild boar families came by every night to eat the figs from the tree right outside our window and below the little seating area - fabulous. It is rustic, a working farm and literally miles from anywhere. While we... More

Barbialla is a divine property , old refurbished colonial houses are scattered among 500 hectares of land . You are in the heart of beautiful Tuscan country side , yet less than an hour away from all its major attractions, Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the coast are an easy reach for a day trip. It is the ideal place where... More

We recently returned from two weeks in Italy. The first week was spent mostly in Rome, and then a couple of days in Venice. We were supposed to stay longer in Venice, but it was crowded with tourists, and we realized we wanted less of people like us, and more of real Italy. So we contacted Barbialla to see if... More

We stayed at Barbialla for two weeks and loved every minute. We spent plenty of time relaxing on the estate and walking the trails and loved our apartment, which was well-designed in a simple rustic style. We even used the fireplace on a couple of rainy days. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The small organic... More

“It was an exceptional farm experience for our family! The apartment was really nice for farm accommodation and the estate grounds are fantastic to explore. But what we enjoyed most was the time with Ivano and Kyra: pizza and bread baking course, mushroom hunt, cheese and sausage tasting. The night of italian cooking with Serenella was a highlight for our... More

We arrived at Barbialla after a months of hard work and travel and found it the perfect place to completely and utterly relax. The days were filled with lying around reading in a variety of comfortable and scenic places, eating local food and strolling through the truffle and porcini-filled forests hoping to strike it lucky. Everything Kiera and Ivano (the... More
