A good hotel for viewing surrunding area. Breakfast was good with attentive service. Room small but we switched to Junior Suite at extra cost. Garage was also extra but adequate parking within walking distance. Pool was not open in April. A few excellent restaurants locally

Our original hotel accommodations at the Villa Bianca was cancelled because their compressor was not working properly. We were referred to Una Palazzo Mannaioni in Montaione and we were pleasantly surprised. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Catarina - Manager who welcomed us and upgraded our room to a balcony suite. It was March 8 - Women's Day so... More

We had the pleasure to visit Montaione and stay at Palazzo Mannaioni during Autumn 2013. Montaione itself is a treasure for those who wish to stay off the beaten track - but within easy access to all the tourist areas as well. Our stay at Palazzo Mannaioni was very special. From Esmeralda coming out on to the street to direct... More

We went for a 4 day stay. The region is wonderfull, especially visit San Gimigniano! We booked the hotel and there were no available rooms in the newer part which is much quieter and rooms look much better. In the main building you can see some age in the rooms. They are spacious but then the cabinets are old, bathroom... More

Montaione is a great base for exploring the surrounding areas without being swarmed by tourists in the evening. The hotel has been beautifully restored, with a great pool - all in the centre of the village. We stayed in the new wing and were comfortable and cosseted. The rooms had great bathrooms, were beautifully styled and have everything that you... More

great hotel and staff. Great jumping off point for San Gimignano and Volterra. Would definitely stay there again. The staff was particularly helpful and the views from the town were spectacular. Although the hotel was difficult to get to, it was worth the effort.

A must stay when visiting Montaione for business. Beautiful building full of history and a restaurant serving excellent food and wine Breakfast is also something to look forward to, with freshly baked croissants and many other wonderful things to die for.

We booked this hotel through Voyage Prive and if you want to be in the centre of things its a good venue, easy to get to Siena, Pisa and Florence without having to stay in a city, Montaione has a lovely hilltop setting, the hotel is old in parts with a new section across the road linked to the main... Stayed here for the night on the way to Sienna . Set in a very small town on top of a hill with great views of the area, the hotel is quite modern , clean and very quite. Can,t fault the staff . Rooms were bright and very comfortable. Only grumble was our garden room had a light on a... More

Positives: -quiet, clean, excellent service, good breakfast, great view from the room, tidy/clean pool area, style of the hotel (suited the walled town of Montaione), nice idea to give a free bottle of wine and vouchers for meals Negatives: -The restaurant was very pricey, as were lunch snacks, drinks etc, no free wifi in the room, TV was from the...
