having never been to Tuscany before we were unsure where to book but knew we wanted to visit Florence and Pisa and this area seemed pretty central. The hotels appeal to me was the age and size and I particularly asked for a room in the older side of the hotel. On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by... More

Beautiful old building in the centre of a fairly quiet but pleasant town. The hotel is in two parts, reception, bar, dinning room and some bedrooms in the old building with the remainder of the bedrooms in a newer building across the road but accessed via a tunnel. We had a nicely furnished and well equipped room in the new... More

Hey, When i was in Italy, i rented a car and drove all around. I drove from Florence to the middle of Tuscany and stopped at UNA Palazzo Mannaioni. It is a very interesting hotel. My room was a bit narrow but very long. I was told by the receptionist that it is build a in wall (like walls that... More

We booked into the Palazzo Mannaioni by chance and were delighted to find that we could have a room in the old part of the building. The room was not large, but absolutely delightful, with a beamed ceiling and a splendid panorama from a window whose panes were ancient glass, giving a lovely, wobbly view. It was warm enough to... This is a good central location from which to explore Tuscany. Montaine is a tiny hill town with a spectacular view (no view from the hotel though). It's a quiet retreat for spending the nights away from the hustle and bustle of the more popular towns you will want to visit during the day. The hotel is a refurbishment of... More

The views from our third floor room in this 16th century mansion up above the fields and vineyards, stretch to the horizon and on a fine day are simply breathtaking. We stayed four nights in September 2014 in a very comfortable room with ensuite facilities, T.V. (with CNN and the BBC) and access to Wi-fi. The hotel is run with... More

Rising up over the Tuscan countryside this town is an excellent location to plan out your stay. The hotel is in two parts with the old hotel within the city walls and the annex just opposite. For those that like the charm of an old hotel make sure you have this part booked. However, the annex has excellent facilities /... More

We had a lovely stay in Montaione, spent three nights here in early September 2014. The hotel is divided in two parts - one "historic" and the other "modern". Our room was in the modern part which is across the street and has an underground tunnel that enables to go from one side to the other without having to wonder... More

.... location is no good, even if you have a car - access to montaione is via small winding twisty roads, and the town itself is far from the main sights in chianti/tuscany. be prepared to spend lots of time getting in and out. parking at 9 euros/night is expensive for a small town. the hotel has two wings, connected...
