Stayed at the end of August/early September when the weather was very hot. The pool was a real boon. The hotel works well and is very comfortable. The staff are all wonderful without exception. Wine tasting with Luigi was very informative and time well spent We stayed in the old building with a fabulous views over the countryside. It was... More

Situated in the heart of Tuscany and pretty much equidistant between Pisa, Florence, and Siena, the Palazzo Mannaioni is in a cracking location. It's very much a hotel of two halves with the sensitively restored Palazzo complemented by a recently built extension with a clean and modern aesthetic and underground car park. The two halves of the hotel are linked... More

We stayed here for a fortnight in July and were generally very happy that we chose this hotel! Pisa, Florence, Sienna are all about an hour's drive away and St. Gimignano is half an hour away, so it is ideally located. There are 2 parts to the hotel and we stayed in both over the fortnight. The older part is... More

Most of the issues at UNA Palazzo Mannaioni could be solved with new management. The staff genuinely tries to provide good service, but the management treats them very poorly (in front of the guests, which makes for an uncomfortable situation). Good: Carmine tries his best to maintain the place. We were there in 40+ degree weather, and the A/C could... More

We flew in from london....the level of service at this hotel was beyond diabolical. It took an hour to get our bags from reception on arrival - despite calling reception three times. The food was disgusting - the pool area smells constantly of excrement - all the drains must be blocked - it makes you want to vomit. The barman/restaurant... More

The hotel is situated on a one way street. There appears to be very limited parking at the hotel. This meant we had to park on another street. It is both inconvenient and bothersome. If you are staying in the new block (which is decorated to a high standard) you will walk a considerable distance - down a lift, through... More

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful sommelier Luigi who gave us a fantastic wine lesson and introduced us to a great local wine maker for a vineyard tour and wine tasting. Great rural escape in good location to see Sienna, Lucca, Pisa, Florence or to visit the beach. Only downside was the parking beware of the 'free parking' on your booking as its... More

Just completed a three night stay in a Junior Suite. The hotel is situated within a small and old walled city. The hotel is itself small and charming and has a fine restaurant. The room was comfortable and included a small terrace overlooking a pool that's is well-maitained. The highlight of the experience was the truly wonderful staff; beginning with... More

We stayed for 9 nights and from the moment we arrived Raul and his colleagues looked after us very very well! The breakfast is superb with a great selection to choose from. Room 103 in the original part was spacious, nice and very clean. The pool is great. Montaione is a great little town and a brilliant location to travel... More

Montaione is ideally situated to visit all the hill towns of Tuscany and is ideal for those who prefer a quite, idyllic setting to staying in a city overrun with visitors such as Florence. The hotel staff is marvelous, the restaurant is terrific and our Junior Suite (#111) had two levels, a balcony and a fantastic view. I was genuinely... More
