We just returned from a 2 week trip to Tuscany where this property was one of the highlights! From the breathtaking views of Tuscany below you, the warm welcome and care by Cinzia and the delicious meals in their restaurant across the street, you couldn't pick a better place to relax and see the nearby sights of Florence, San Gimignano,... This place is great. The view is stunning, with Tuscan hills and Volterra off in the distance. The grounds are lovely and well kept. There is a lovely pond thriving with wildlife, and a cool rose garden. The pool is big and clean with plenty of lounge chairs to soak up the view. The apartment was perfect. It was spacious... More

Borned in Italy, but english soul. been there in April, not asking for anything more. Chill and relaxing. Don't miss the full board, they run an amazing restaurant just across the road. We had an Italian cooking lesson, my wife is from Liverpool and she went out of mind. Now she is forcing me to cook every night italian food.... More

The views of the Tuscan hills are stunning! The villa is rustic and comfortable. We travelled in April. The weather was sunny with a cool breeze. Cinzia who manages the properties was fantastic. We attended a cooking class at her restaurant across the road. Our girls and us thoroughly enjoyed the experience- I would highly recommend booking this . The... More

We have been coming to Podere Le Monache for over 15 years the location is scenically beautiful the apartments true Tuscan rustic style. The rose gardens and pool are delightful. The aroma of rosemary, jasmine ,and roses creates an intoxicating perfume whilst sunbathing or walking through the gardens. The locals are delightful, the choice of two eating places of a... More

Wow. Just wow. What a location, and a great facility. We had an incredible family trip to Tuscany and this location had a lot to do with it. Liliana has, quite possibly, one of the nicest and most affordable locations around. Our relatives visiting from the US will never forget the experience and have commented on it over and over... We recently stayed here on our honeymoon and took our 15 month baby too. The place was absolutely perfect, the views were just incredible. The gardens and pool were superb and it really was an oasis of calm in the tiny village of Iona. Iona had two very good restaurants and the shop was literally just across the road. The... More

15 of us travelled here and took over the whole place. The building and surrounding grounds and pool were well kept and clean. The village is very pretty and quiet. The only downside was the roads to get to the village which were a little scary at times! Keep an eye out for the badgers in the garden at night.

Our family of four stayed here in July. The apartment was spacious with lovely vaulted stone ceilings and was cool, as advertised, due to the thick walls of the old building. We were a little disappointed with the double bed in the main bedroom. Although the frame was a standard double size, the mattress was only 4 feet wide which... More

My husband surprised me with a week at this charming converted farmhouse in the village of Iano. Four self sufficient apartment of various sizes. Very nice pool with views overlooking a gorgeous Tuscan countryside. Very comfortable and all the amenities you need. Iano is a lovely quaint village with two really good restaurants and a mini market for anything you... More
