When we visit Richmond, we usually stay at The Jefferson Hotel or at Linden Row Inn, both lovely accommodations downtown. During this visit, we decided to try something different, so we booked a two night/three day stay at the Museum District B&B, which is directly across from The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and w/in easy walking distance of Cary... My stay here was perfect - the room, the ambiance, the location, the food! Anna makes you feel right at home while giving you your privacy. The location is great, within walking distance of shops, a great cupcake place, and restaurants. Anna will suggest places to go outside the immediate area, too. You will love this place!

We loved this B and B! Each evening Anna provides wine and cheese at a cozy table with fascinating people. Breakfast was healthy and delicious - croissants, smoked salmon, fresh fruit - and the NY Times at hand. The bed and bedding were the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Anna irons the sheets, pillowcases and napkins all by hand! The... More

We stayed here as part of our road trip and having stayed at 14 different accommodations unfortunately this was our least favourite. We arrived a bit earlier than we had anticipated (2pm rather than 4pm) and the owner seemed a little put out. We stayed in the separate accommodation (described as the chauffeurs accommodation) and although it was very clean... More

We had a wonderful experience at The Museum Dist BB. We arrived at 5PM just in time for the wine and cheese treat. There we engaged in lively conversation with other guests and Anna, the owner. After the wine & Cheese deal, we walked several blocks to Cary street where lots of of restaurants and shops were located. The walk... More

Such a charming B&B with a great location. Just a quick one night stay but simply delightful. The Innkeeper was engaging, wealth of information and very accomodating to our schedule. We will definitely return.

My grandson and I spent two nights here for a civil war and ancestry trip to Richmond. We stayed in the John Lane Suite for separate privacy. The house is beautiful and Anna made us feel most welcome. Her breakfasts were awesome and included bakery cinnamon rolls and croissants that were the best I've tasted! The wine and cheese hour... This is a restful, elegant, comfortable and wonderful place to stay. Anna, the inn keeper makes sure that every guest is welcome, well fed and well cared for. When I arrived a bit earlier than planned she was personally ironing the linens for my bed! The home is well appointed, peaceful and immaculately clean. Its location is superbly convenient -... The more I stay in B&B's the better they get, but it will be hard to top this one. The Judge Rhea suite is one the best rooms we've ever stayed in. The shower is a wonderful morning treat, steam and dual showers wonderfully invigorating. Breakfast is hearty and sustaining(killer croissants) with farm fresh eggs and fresh squeezed OJ. Convenient... More
