This B and B is located right across the street from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, an outstanding venue. there are three rooms, the self-contained carriage house and two suites on the second floor. We stayed in the John Lane suite which faces Grove Avenue and has the plus of direct access to the porch. The room was very... More

This was our first experience of B&B in the States and we weren't disappointed. Anna was the perfect hostess. We stayed in the self contained Carriage House which was fully equipped with air con, fridge and coffee machine. The breakfasts were wonderful with freshly cooked eggs and bacon. But what we really enjoyed was the wine and cheese in the... More

I could not have been happier with our 2 night stay in the Carriage House, the self-contained en-suite room in the old garage behind the main house. The welcome from Anna was warm and helpful - indeed the food and drink tips from our hostess were spot on and definitely contributed to our experience of Richmond. The room is small,... More

This is a beautiful house which is well maintained. We stayed in the John Lane Suite. The rooms were very comfortable with lovely, soft and ironed bed linens. Anna, the owner, provided wine and cheese every afternoon - excellent choices and nice conversation. A hot breakfast was prepared by Anna and was delicious. The location is ideal with easy access to... More

We stayed one night at this excellent B&B so that we could visit the wonderful, free VFMA. Anna is a very interesting, hospitable and generous hostess. We enjoyed talking to her, other guests and 2 neighbours who dropped in to share the delicious wine and 4 excellent cheeses. The Judge's Room is very quiet, comfortable and beautifully equipped. Anna was... More

My daughter and I found the Museum Bed and Breakfast at the last minute on line while traveling. We were so excited that this B&B had availability and learned from Anna after arriving that there had been a last minute cancellation (LUCKY for US). Donna was wonderful and before going to dinner Donna served wine and cheese and the conversation... More

Anna does a wonderful job making your stay feel special. She even had roses waiting for us in the Judge's suite for our arrival. The bedroom was cozy and the bathroom with claw-footed tub plus a steam shower was amazing. We walked to Carey Street and nearby craft breweries. It was also an easy cab ride to nearby restaurants and... More

We enjoyed our short stay in this lovely B&B, meticulously maintained by the wonderful owner Anna. Booking online was easy. The B&B is located across the street from the VMFA in the charming Fen neighborhood, within walking distance to restaurants on Carey Street. Free parking and free wifi are helpful. We enjoyed chatting with Anna and other guests at the... More

Anna has created a respite for travelers. We stayed in the carriage house and definitely plan to return for a longer stay. The wine and cheese turned into a two hour "happy hour" while we chatted with Anna, other guests and two neighbors. We loved the lively conversation at breakfast the next morning as well. The breakfast was wonderful--fresh squeezed... More

Anna, the owner of this B&B really goes out of her way to ensure that her guests experience an enjoyable stay. It's all in the little things. We were on our way out to the museum across the street and she knew that my husband has difficulty with his mobility. She hurried after me to tell me to use a... More
