This is a beautiful house which is well maintained. We stayed in the John Lane Suite. The rooms were very comfortable with lovely, soft and ironed bed linens. Anna, the owner, provided wine and cheese every afternoon - excellent choices and nice conversation. A hot breakfast was prepared by Anna and was delicious. The location is ideal with easy access to... More

We stayed one night at this excellent B&B so that we could visit the wonderful, free VFMA. Anna is a very interesting, hospitable and generous hostess. We enjoyed talking to her, other guests and 2 neighbours who dropped in to share the delicious wine and 4 excellent cheeses. The Judge's Room is very quiet, comfortable and beautifully equipped. Anna was... More

My daughter and I found the Museum Bed and Breakfast at the last minute on line while traveling. We were so excited that this B&B had availability and learned from Anna after arriving that there had been a last minute cancellation (LUCKY for US). Donna was wonderful and before going to dinner Donna served wine and cheese and the conversation... More

Anna does a wonderful job making your stay feel special. She even had roses waiting for us in the Judge's suite for our arrival. The bedroom was cozy and the bathroom with claw-footed tub plus a steam shower was amazing. We walked to Carey Street and nearby craft breweries. It was also an easy cab ride to nearby restaurants and... More

We enjoyed our short stay in this lovely B&B, meticulously maintained by the wonderful owner Anna. Booking online was easy. The B&B is located across the street from the VMFA in the charming Fen neighborhood, within walking distance to restaurants on Carey Street. Free parking and free wifi are helpful. We enjoyed chatting with Anna and other guests at the... More

Anna has created a respite for travelers. We stayed in the carriage house and definitely plan to return for a longer stay. The wine and cheese turned into a two hour "happy hour" while we chatted with Anna, other guests and two neighbors. We loved the lively conversation at breakfast the next morning as well. The breakfast was wonderful--fresh squeezed... More

Anna, the owner of this B&B really goes out of her way to ensure that her guests experience an enjoyable stay. It's all in the little things. We were on our way out to the museum across the street and she knew that my husband has difficulty with his mobility. She hurried after me to tell me to use a... More

We loved our stay at the Museum District B&B. Anna has put in a lot of effort and attention to detail to restore this historic home and make guests comfortable at her B&B. We found this to be a great location and Anna provided a map with thoughtful recommendations about places to eat and attractions during our short stay. We... More

i'm a Richmond native living elsewhere now. When visiting family with my spouse in tow, it's a little more comfortable to stay in a hotel. For our most recent visit, I decided to try something different. I went to high school in this neighborhood and always loved it, so researched b&bs and found Anna's place. What a gem. Anna should... My wife and I have been staying with Anna for many years as we have family in the area and visit regularly. The location, hospitality, facilities, and overall B&B environment is unparalleled. Carytown and the Museum District are steps away. There are several different levels of accommodations from which to choose and we have been pleased with all of them.... More
