We celebrated my birthday in Richmond and stayed again at Linden Row. We got an excellent rate and they upgraded us to a huge suite, giant rooms, floor to high ceiling windows, quiet and comfortable. The bed is big and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting in the living room on the sofa. Some of the furnishings are a bit shabby... More

Bed and pillows were awesome. Very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spotless and plenty of clean fresh linen. Shower pressure was great. Staff was very nice and good to work with. Great place to stay and may even stay for New Years ;)

Why would you stay in a generic chain hotel when visiting historic Richmond? Unwilling to pay the Jefferson's ridiculous rates, I booked the much-cheaper Linden Row Inn. Iced tea in the lobby, beautiful porches, high ceilings, comfy bed, weird but charming layouts... and it's all an easy stroll from theaters, galleries, and restaurants of downtown Richmond. Street parking is easy... More

I got a great rate on this hotel through Hotwire, and was delighted to find that it is a 5-minute walk from the Jefferson, a 10-minute walk to Penny Lane Pub, and that not only is the location perfect for other venues, but that it is also a delightful venue in and of itself! Brimming with history, complete with a... More

I love this beautiful old inn and everything about it. It's so charming and warm, like a loving hug. I love porches, street lamps, brick, trees, benches, squeaky wooden floors and everything else this grand place offers. The location is magnificent to walk a few blocks and get a real feel for Richmond's history and architecture but not so much... More

This is not a modern hotel, so you've got to be prepared. The paint is chipped on the walls, and the furniture is mis-matched. But it's a very cool concept to have rehabbed seven row houses and made them into a hotel. Our room was huge, and it had a 12-foot ceiling, which was wonderful. The free breakfast was no... More

First there was a line for check in, staff was friendly, rooms were spacious but showing their age, I noticed after returning home that valet had scratched passenger side doors. Overall not worth the money better off staying somewhere else, I guess you are paying for location.....

We arrived on Sat. during the Marathon. Complicated directions to get to the hotel due to closed roads and after massive traffic, cones blocked parking access, which my husband finally got the police to move after driving around for 25 minutes..could not get to Valet side. Front Desk had only ONE person to handle all entering and departing guests on... More

The Linden Row Inn is in downtown Richmond, close to many of the sites. My garden room was pleasant -- small, cosy, with a good, totally rehabbed bathroom. Sadly, the room overlooked an overflowing dumpster in the alley. Not much the Inn could do, but...not a great view. However, the garden area was lovely (even in November!) The breakfast buffet... We loved the Garden Room. Enjoyed the Edgar Allen Poe history and the breakfast was good. I would recommend this place. We could walk to Robert E Lee's former house, the capitol building plus St Paul's Episcopal Church which has the Tiffany windows.
