Stayed one Saturday night at the Berkley with two friends, fellow VCU Alumni. The room was nice (clean and nicely decorated in traditional colors and style). The staff were friendly at check-in. The bell hop who helped with our bags even offered to fill our ice bucket and then brought us an extra glass, etc. (the room was set up... More

The hotel was really classy looking and nice. The room was excellent and the staff was very nice bringing us a refrigerator for no charge since my friend had to pump. The beds are extremely comfortable!!! The staff during the day is nice but the overnight staff probably needs to be more friendly. I know it sucks... but its not... More

We had a lovely mini vacation from Williamsburg and chose to stay at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived on Sunday afternoon, till the moment we left everything was a delight. To start, we arrived at about 1:30 on Sunday afternoon and our room was ready! Double plus for that! The bell captain got our bags out of... More

We came to Richmond in a combined Trip Business and Pleasure. The hotel could really use maintenance. When I made the reservation they said it included breakfast for our party of 4, but when we arrived they said it was only for 2 guests, which made no sense since we were staying at a Junior Suite with two double beds.... We were In Richmond to drop my daughter off for school and I was so happy that I picked the Berkeley for two nights. The room was large, comfortable and pretty with big windows which I loved. The staff was as pleasant as they could be and my absolute favorite person was the valet/bellman, Tao, who was eager to be... More

The Berkeley Hotel is a small hotel in historic Shockoe Slip, it has a nice feel due to the overall look of the hotel and the fact that it is small. Staff were pleasant and helpful, the air conditioning in our room was perfect even on the hottest days. The bar had a club feel and the restaurant was classy.... More

the room was large and the bed comfortable. The climate control was way off, however. Was up several times during the night to adjust the thermostat but couldn't get the room to cool off. And while they have a telephone (?) in the bathroom, there's no fan. I left my phone charger in the room and called to ask that... More

We have found our spot in Richmond. This place is perfect and with only 55 rooms you don't have to worry about any racket. Everyone here is classy. They have the best breakfast in town. Reserve a king terrace suite so you can enjoy coffee on your deck in the morning. Star at the front desk is as sweet as... More

Spent one night in this lovely hotel and enjoyed every aspect. Clean, comfortable, and very well appointed rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. No attitudes here! We were parched after a long walk and requested cold water from the front desk. They brought us 2 bottles of artesian water on ice and said "on the house!" WOW! The ambiance is... More

We stayed two nights in the Berkeley Hotel in Richmond, Virginia recently. We had intended to stay only one night, but it was so lovely we stayed another! The hotel is in a great location and literally up the street from the trolley bus tour of the city (a must to do). We received a warm welcome and Tad the... More
