A vintage hotel in middle of restaurants and bars. Cobblestone roads and converted old factory's are the back set. Main lobby, restaurant + bar brings you back in time. Stayed in a JR suite... Room was x-large, clean, with comfortable beds. Bathroom was a bit dated but worked. 1- negative item was valet parking... Slowwww service only at night. Cute... More

Average hotel in downtown Richmond. Room was clean but dated. Room temperature was 78F and when I called downstairs to fix air con, they were quick to respond but did not fix problem. It seemed like they just didn't know how to - so it was disappointing in that air con was not working in the first place and then... More

Had a great stay at the Berkeley. The staff was so helpful and the hotel is a classic, well appointed place to stay. The room was big and the bed was cozy. The hotel has a nice bar with happy hour. My only small issue was the noise outside. I woke up a few times due to noise, but I... More

This is a great, quaint hotel that doesn't lack on details. The room was very spacious (we had a room with double beds) and it surprisingly had a sofa sleeper. The staff was very friendly. They have a dining room with an impressive menu and a small cozy bar area. I took breakfast to go back to my room, it's... More

Very nice hotel in historic Richmond. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Easy walk to many resturants. Short walk to Virginia State Capital (a great free tour). A few blocks more to White House of the Confedreacy.

Charming facility in a great location in cobblestone street with plenty of dining and shopping nearby. Friendly check-in and valet. Nice marble bathroom and clean bedroom. Great vibe overall. My mattress in room 302 should be replaced soon. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed a lovely evening with a great dinner of crab cakes and fried green tomatoes with bourbon bacon jam. The accommodations were outstanding and the staff was gracious. After dinner we took a stroll around Cary Street where the night life was plentiful. If you are looking for a special treat, something different than hotel chains, with a reasonable... More

My family stayed at this hotel 13 years ago for our wedding, and we loved it. We had our rehearsal dinner here, and it was wonderful. As we were passing through Richmond, we decided to stay at the Berkeley. When we were taken to our room, there was trash on the floor and the bed was rumpled with trash on... More

We stopped in Richmond on our return trip from Gettysburg. We wanted a small hotel to stay in and found The Berkeley through reviews. We loved our stay here. The hotel is great, staff members were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed drinks in the bar where staff members came to our table and visited with us and to ensure... More

Very nice hotel which lived up to our expectations. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant which served nice southern food. The thing to complain about is the wifi which was killingly slow and disconnected all the time. But definitely stay again.
