We stayed at the Ramada West prior to the Richmond Marathon; only 10 minutes to downtown on a Saturday morning. The motel itself is okay; our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast the next morning was average (frozen waffels, sweet rolls, boxed cereal, etc...). This Ramada is located inside the parking area of a mall, tucked behind a gas... more

This is the hotel that we have all seen in horror movies, or on COPS. Upon checking in, a man walked to my left and demaned a room for a period of only two hours (yikes). In addition, I stayed three nights and upon my return to my room I was twice encounted by the police. The room was fairly... more

Made online reservations. Traveled all day. Pulled into the trashy, weed laden parking lot people standing outside office leaning up against the wall smoking. Looked in a few of the ready to fill rooms. Dirty. Boarded up windows in adjoining /attached buildings. Canceled reservations. more

My son an I spent many hours on the computer looking for a place to stay so that we could attend the Inaguration of President Obama. We searched until we found (thought the Virginia Tourism site) the Ramada West. It appeared to be the closest hotel to Washington D.C. that we could afford. The photos looked beautiful and we thought... more

When we arrived, I thought the lobby was decent and the receptionist were really nice, but once we enter that dirty elevator to go to our rooms, I already had an visual of the rooms. The rooms were horrible, dirty, the carpet looked nasty. The chairs at the table in room 112 were dirty. No lifeguards at the pool. I... more

Upon arrival at the above location, I should have known this location would be a dump by the lobby's appearance. The first room I was assigned I had to carry my own luggage upstairs. One look at this room and I went back to the lobby and request another room. I was assigned a room near the pool. Finding the... more

Kudos to "leckaroo" for expressing my sentiments on this Ramada! Their sense of humor's better than mine about the grimey room conditions. Coincidentally, we were also a door away from that smashed in room unit (a gal drove her car into it trying to park). No funky mirror above the bed in our unit. If Richmond has Board of Health... more

We were in town for the Nascar race and this was the only place with available rooms so we didn't have a choice - we had to stay here. We had a feeling it would be a dump but it exceeded all of our expectations. This place is just plain gross. I really don't think they have a cleaning staff... more

We stayed here last year and after reading recent reviews, we were concerned. It was fine except for the breakfast which was not ready on time. Sat. the cofee was not ready at 6:30 as stated and we had to leave, but we had coffee at our event - so no big deal. The cook was sick Sunday morning so... more
