Let me start off by saying that my teenage sons left some articles of clothing in their room and the hotel found them and mailed them - on their dime - to our house. Now that is service! We booked this hotel through hotwire for an absolutely rock-bottom rate. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Maybe that's why we enjoyed it... more

I am very disappointed because of the way I was treated during my stay at your hotel. I have a number of concerns. For one, I was left in my room while the fire alarm went off. I was not notified or no one knocked on the door to check to see if we were in there or not. I... more

This hotel was recommended by the Bride for her family and friends. Our room was beautiful! It was clean, spacious and very relaxing. All the staff were very helpful. We had a nice breakfast before we went on our way. more

This is a rather run-down Hyatt. The staff is not particularly friendly. The rooms have the large flatscreen tv, but they are rough around the edges. I had just an OK stay at this hotel. more

We have stayed in Hyatt Places in the past and found them usually new and modern, generally fairly pleasant. We chose the HP in Richmond while on a road trip, thinking it would be better than the choices in the area. Sadly, the room smelled like it had a moisture problem (mold or recently cleaned rug?) and although we booked... more

This is a re-branded hotel. While most of the renovation is well done, the elevators, bathtubs, etc show their age. An earlier review complained that they ran out of coffee during breakfast. Guess what -- our first morning they did run out of coffee. The breakfast itself was acceptable but the seating area is close quarters with other guests. The... more

This was my second stay at a Hyatt Place. The first one, in Atlanta, was a charm - right price, simple, but perfectly setup room, decent breakfast, everything in working order... so I hoped for a repeat performance this time around, in Richmond. Alas - beneath the same skin-deep veneer, previous heritage of this place was showing up (e.g. in... more

Nice clean room and nice 42" TV, although the bathroom was horribly small. Opening the bathroom door took up the whole bathroom space. My husband ended up catching his toe on the door when trying to close it and split his toe open. Also, the room was very warm, even without the heat on, which was uncomfortable. Overall the nice... more

Staff was very helpful and friendly during check-in. Hotel lobby is under renovation, but had no bearing on my stay. Entire hotel is "No smoking" which was great, because I hate smelling cigarette smoke in the hallway on the way to my non-smoking room. My room was clean, spacious and VERY comfortable. The bed was perfect, and the pillows were... more

This hotel really surprised me. I booked via Priceline for a very low rate and therefore was not expecting very much at all. However, when checking in the front desk staff was very professional and curteous, the lobby was clean, and check-in was quick. Upon entering the room, we noticed that there was a very large 42 inch flat screen... more
