We had stayed at The Jeffferson around 15 years ago and it was grandious. Now a days it is beyond words. The service is impeccable. We had an incredible experience dining at their restaurant Lemaire. The suite was spacious, immaculate and done in such exquisite taste. I cannot tell you enough. The employees have a wonderful smile on their faces... More

The Jefferson is an absolutely stunning, classy hotel which has not lost its Southern Charm. The bell staff, all except for one young man, are perfect. I was impressed with the gentleman from Haiti, who made my first impression of the hotel a great one. As to my negative bell staff experience, I inquired as to a bottle of water... More

Stayed just one night for business. Upgraded to a deluxe king which had clearly been upgraded since my last stay about a year ago. Room had brand new bedding, pillows, lighting and art. Bathroom upgraded completely as well with in mirror TV, Molton Brown toiletries and a huge tub. Room was huge and perfectly appointed. Hotel was slow since it... More

This is an historic hotel in Richmond. I did not have a room here, I only came to visit it with a friend. It is a beautiful historic hotel with a great charm. It is a also an historical landmark. If you come to Richmond, come to visit this beautiful hotel too.

The Jefferson is one of those grande dames of American hotels. The view from either the top or the bottom of its grand staircase is breathtaking. The guest list of its 120 years reads like an American history book -- a couple dozen presidents, stars like Frank Sinatra and Elvis, and the queen of England have lodged here. The staff... More

I did not know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with the facility. A very grand style hotel with a fabulous Sunday brunch that is not to be missed. Rooms were spacious and very clean with all the standard amenities. Staff was very helpful. A great place to come for a splurge!

The hotel was a perfect spot for a stress-free event in that the surroundings were gorgeous and needed no additional decorations, the buffet meet everyone's taste preferences, the music set the atmosphere without being overbearing, and the service was wonderful. The only drawback would be if you wanted to dance as this venue does not lend itself to that. A... More

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed all of the aspects of the reception held in our Presidential Suite and the pianist in the living room. While this intimate space, unfortunately does not provide a space for dancing, our larger ballroom spaces are perfect for dancing and a full band. More

With the elegant and majestic building that one beholds as they approach the hotel, one would expect the same elegance and majesty to be graced upon them as they enter the hotel. Well, it was shockingly mundane. Don't get me wrong, it was 5-stars (although I think it was more like a great 4-star, because 5-stars implies that there were... More

Well I came to the Jefferson Hotel all the way from Great Falls, Virginia (120 miles) to have their popular English High Tea…. what a disappointment. Reservation were required and the next reservations being accepted were for November (2 months away). Wow! Two months advance reservations just for tea. This must be real good stuff then and I am sure... More

Our sincere apologies that you arrived at the hotel and were not able to enjoy our Afternoon Tea as you had planned. We are delighted to hear, however, that you will be visiting with us again in November for an overnight stay and tea. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Jefferson! More

Stayed here a weekend for a wedding and it was just as nice as one would expect. The hotel lobby is as beautiful and old world, with the upper lobby also used for afternoon tea as it has a stained-glass atrium. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. If you are not going far, the hotel car seemed always available to... More
