The first noticeable thing was the beautiful welcome from the staff - it is almost unfair to mention anyone by name but Christof was fantastic. The room was very nice and I particularly liked the firmness of the bed. Even though we didn't "buy" from the mini-bar it was great having a fridge. Wi-Fi didn't stretch to the room -... More

From the minute we arrived we were made welcome. The members of staff were friendly, helpful and very competent. From the reception team, restaurant staff, wonderful chef to the housekeepers, nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is nicely appointed in a village in the hills. Our room was lovely and clean, had a fabulous shower and very... More

I must start by saying the hotel staff are amongst he most friendly and helpful I have come across. The location isn't bad, with some great views of the near by mountains. It is for that reason my overall rating isn't lower. The down side however isn't great reading. The food was poor and even though we were half board... More

We stayed in the second week of June. We arrived late on Saturday evening and they were awaiting our arrival. They couldn't have been more helpful and delightful. Room was very good, clean and well appointed. Great little pool and whirlpool baths in the secluded garden area. Nice meal on the Sunday evening. Breakfast was continental style with the option... My wife and I visited this hotel in the last week of May after snagging a great cheap deal for flight and B&B. We were also lucky to get a cheap care hire from SkyScanner and, armed with cheap excess insurance we visited Sardinia for the first time. The island can review itself - it's absolutely stunning, with wonderful scenery,... More

The hotel is located in a small village called San Pantaleo which is a lovely place with old and typical Sardinian houses. The village is surrounded by rocky mountains and located approx. 5 km from the coast/beach. All the beautiful beaches of Northeastern Sardinia are easily reachable within 5-20 mins drive. The hotel itself is very calm and furnished with... More

We picked this hotel after the many positive recommendations on TripAdvisor and on the whole, they weren't wrong. We stayed for 7 nights for the price of 6 in September 2010 as part of our 2-week holiday in the north of Sardinia. We'd stayed in Olbia for the first 2 nights so the drive really wasn't far, but we still... More

We use tripadvisor.com a lot and every single decision we have made using it has panned out in spades. It was through tripadvisor that we happened upon Borgo Antico. First the town: San Pantaleo is mountain town about 4 km from the coast, nestled between beautiful rugged peaks that have stood guard for 10s of thousands of years. It's a... More

A beautiful hotel, perfect for couples, a little gem. We'll definitely return, despite the slightly scary roads from the airport (not that scary when you get used to them!). Book a room leading onto the terrace if you can, having said that the ones with mountain views are probably just as nice! This was possibly the cleanest hotel either of... More

Borgo Antico is a great place to stay and ideally located in San Pantaleo. The hotel is quiet, clean and a short drive to some of the nicest beaches in Costa Smeralda. All of the hotel staff was very nice & accomodating, especially IGNAZIA who answered our endless questions graciously :). The rooms are simple, but very clean and spacious... More
