We arrived by ferry onto Sardina ( Livorno to Olbia ) which was an experience in itself! This hotel is NOT in Porto Rotondo it's in the middle of nowhere. There is a payable shuttle bus which operates limited hours (example last bus back to the hotel from Porte Rotondo was at 1950 hours) Most people on holiday are just... More

The hotel is immaculate but the resort somehow manages to be a bit soulless. The Smerelda coast was only developed from the 60 onwards and you can tell . But the hotel pool is great the sea is crystal clear and the staff very attentive and efficient. If you are looking for a boutique experience with a lot of culture... More

Positive: -close to a sandy beach that is shallow for a long time (very cold water) -view of seaside rooms and from lobby terrace - the hotel is located in a beautiful area, you are surrounded with mountains, hills, sea, and palmtrees -shift leader Ramona at the reception is amazing, some of the retsturant personnel too (Alex, Mat?) -very well maintained... Gentilissima Diana, thanks for the time you spent to describe your holidays in our hotel. I guess we were not efficient enough proposing all the activities that can be booked: rent ancient sailing ships, visit local fairs and markets, traditional farmhouses, or the archological areas nearby (you can find everything on our website). We look forward to see you here... More

I just returned from a week at Abi d'Oru with the whole family, including grandparents, a teenager, and my small kids (2 1/2 years old and 15 months) and we all had a great time. Food was delicious with fresh fish and meat cooked in front of you, in addition to a lovely buffet (I am not a huge buffet... More

Dear Sir, thank you very much for your review. We are glad to hear you’ve spent a nice holiday, with your beautiful family. That's what we hope for each of our guests. Regarding the Wifi, there is a network problem not sufficiently enhanced in the whole area. Despite our efforts to boost the signal indoor and outdoor the Hotel, sometimes... More

A very relaxing 6 days in Northeastern Sardinia spent just after the high season. Airy, spacious hotel, good facilities, proximity to the beach (which was beautiful) and helpful, pleasant staff. The location of this hotel is ideal; however go with a car, as unless you want to just lie on the beach all day, there isn't much to do. Not... More

Very nice location, amazing sea side, great swimming pool, clean and nice rooms, but the best of the best is service! What a nice personnel, lovely and well-trained staff, very warm and welcoming! I would suggest more entertainment, although singers, piano, saxophone on terrace at nights is a very nice touch. Animation would be great, fun for adults and kids.

The hotel must have self assessed as a 5 star as it has nothing other than a lovely beach going for it. The reception staff are arrogant and rude with the exception of one man, wi-fi is charged for and does not work, food choice is limited and completely overpriced and the rooms are basic. For the same money per... More

The hotel does not fit to a 5-star. Maximum 3-star. Some of the staff very unfriendly, especially in the restaurant. Just four meals to choose from, at the a la card restaurant. No vegetarian alternative. WiFi does not work at the room and the pool area. No service at pool area as-well. Housekeeping good and very friendly.

The hotel staff were magnificent, the food good. The beach is crowded but totally Italian a hive of activity and a reflection of all lifestyles that make up modern Italia. The pool is spacious and well kept as is the reserved beach area. Evening entertainment is a little dour but trips to Porto rondo and Baie Sardinia make up the... More

Not the Savoy but good nevertheless! Hotel, beach and grounds are well-presented and quiet when we stayed in early June. Friendly efficient staff in all areas. Food was excellent but Italian dinners are too generous for me. I cannot eat starters, two main courses one of which is pasta, and a sweet course. Quality was superb, especially the seafood. Breakfast... More
