We approached this agriturismo with the thought that it couldn't be as good as the reviews said it was - but it was. The location is stunning, with a backdrop of the most scenic limestone mountain range in Sardinia. It's a great centre for hiking. The architecture is simple and charming - every room has its own sitting out area... More

This is what an agriturismo should be! It is a real working farm with mostly organic practices. First, the setting is perfect being situated at the base of beautiful mountains. It is in the country so it is is so quiet; at night we didn't hear a sound! Antonella was so great to work with when setting up our reservation... More

We spent six nights at Guithddai and Antonella and her staff treated us like family. She finally had to kick us out because she was all booked up. The rooms were comfortable (iask for room #1 and you can watch the sunrise from bed), the dinners were delicious, authentic Corsican food. The house red wine was so good we took... More

We stayed here for one night to try the agriturismo experience in Sardinia and chose this particular property because it was family operated. The mountain location is beautiful and peaceful and the orchards were full of gorgeous olive trees. We were the last guests to arrive for the night so check-in was a bit rushed because the staff were busy... More

We spend a wonderful evening in Guthiddai. Pure food of a high quality and tastefully cooked, served in an informal but professional way. A long-list of antipasta (I guess 5 or 6 different dishes), followed by two excellent 'primi piatti' and a 'secondi' formed by 4 different sorts of meat with a fresh salad and a home made ice cream... We spent 8 days at Guthiddai during the month of August 2013. The place was really an excellent surprise: comfortable accommodation, tasty local food (I could praise many dishes, but the agnello is probably the one that springs first to my mind) and wine (the red especially, probably one of the best organic wine I ever tried). The service was... More

We spent 4 days in this wonderful Agriturismo with our kids, 13 and 11. Arriving, we found that the whole place looked even nicer than on the pictures. And the view at the Supramonte mountains is just splendid. We had two very nice and spacious rooms, both with a good and very clean bathroom, and a small veranda. We felt... More

We spent one week at Agriturismo Guthiddai in summer 2013. The service was very friendly und you will get all things you wish. The room is perfect with aircondition, bath and a liitle terrazza. From Agriturismo Guthiddai you can go very fast to the beach (Cala Golone) or into the mountains (TIscali). Antonella will organize all for you. Thankyou very... More

Really, this is the best place to stay in Sardine. My wife and daugther (2 years) and I have been travelling through Sardine for three weeks and we liked this agriturismo best. It is perfectly situated in the mountains and the east of Sardine. The beach is near by (20 min by car) and when it gets hot in the... More

My first and possibly only review on TripAdvisor. Our time (1 week) spent at Agriturismo Guthiddai was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Italy. There is something so "real" about spending time here. Getting to know Antonella and Gianluca who run this special place was amazing. We were a family of four (two boys 11 and 9) and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guthiddai is an ancient name of unknown origin. It refers to the wide valley that extends eastward from Oliena. Here you discover, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the Agriturismo Guthidday, an idyllic estate, which has developed harmoniously with the surrounding landscape of pastures, vines and olive trees since the early fifties. The center of the delightful country estate is a picturesque courtyard combining rustic elegance with beautiful flower arrangements, typical of the traditional Oliena culture. Nothing disturbs the perfect harmony of the architectural design. Guthiddai agriturismo provides a wonderful dining experience with 2 dining rooms as well as 10 cosy and comfortable rooms, each equipped with private bathroom and balcony. Every room is surrounded by vegetable and flower beds, orchards, vineyards and olive groves. The family takes meticulous care to ensure the highest bio-quality of all their products thus creating the very special country style atmosphere of the agriturismo. With sincere traditional hospitality, the Floris family assure their guests really feel at home, whether it be for a short or long stay or simply an authentic sardinian lunch or dinner. ... more   less
