This hotel is the only place to stay in downtown Lowell. It is in walking distance to the Lowell Summer Music Series. We went to a show last night. The room is a standard guest room. Sixth floor over looking the parking lot. The room is small with no art on the walls. It has one desk and one night... More

I stayed here in late July. The room I had had been renovated but had no "décor"--no pictures at all on the wall! but the view from the window looking down and over this historic town was fabulous. Accommodations were not luxury, but nice, clean, and safe. We needed a roll-away and it was essentially a twin bed--not one of... More

This hotel needs a thorough cleaning and updating. The housekeeping staff needs to learn not to bang on doors and be loud before checkout time. My sink did not drain, my shower was so dark it was like showering in a dungeon, housekeeping rudely knocked on my door and was loud at 830am in the morning on the day I... More

I was coming to attend a conference in downtown Boston and was facing a double whammy of hotel issues. Either the prices were too severe, or where the rents were a little cheaper there were simply no vacancies. I needed to think out of the box, and the UMass Inn & Conference Center came to the rescue. I was concerned... More

I also reviewed the UMass Inn and Conference Center in September 2012. While it is still convenient to all things downtown Lowell, it does not provide the same value it did in 2012. It is now more expensive and less appealing. The room I stayed in was woefully run down, quite large and bare with only a bed, desk with... More

We stayed 2 nights 4th of July weekend. The parking is free and so is the Wi-Fi and rooms are spacious, complimentary cookies and muffins in the morning , a pricey Sunday brunch for purchase and complimentary continental breakfast on weekdays. We had a 2 queen bed patio room facing the locks. Bathroom needs better cleaning of the grout as... More

we wiggled around tight corners following my brother-in-law to the "hotel" parking lot. i heard it used to be real hotel, then a dorm and now a partial dorm and hotel - hard to say school was out of session so very very quiet - in fact quite boring. room looked like plain vanila motel 6 - two beds, one... Was in town with friends for a Slayer show. Looking to stay at a quality hotel without dropping $200+ a night. This place met our goal. All amenities worked great, good size fridge, comfortable beds. Free on-site parking as well, which is always great to have. Check-in was a bit slower than most, but not enough for me to be... More

Stayed here while doing some work with a group on campus. The bottom two floors of the typical college looking dorm were converted into hotel rooms. Saw many students, who had a separate entrance way to the dorm floors (3 and above), around the building in the morning and evening. With that being said, the grounds were quiet and relaxing... More

The low price appropriately reflects the style of the place and the services offered. It's "OK", in that it's clean and the beds are good. There's no breakfast on some days of the week, though there is muffins and coffee/tea offered.
