This inn is a great option for college shopping families. An easy walk to the Harvard campus or the T station. Lots of restaurants nearby, and a drugstore just across Mass. Ave. During our stay the only real shortcoming was the understaffing at breakfast -- one harried server trying to wait on everyone. An easy solution would be a buffet... more

We are from the UK and booked the Inn on the basis of recommendations. Firstly it is situated in a minor road of a major road in an apparent residential area. The property is old and maybe quaint but situated quite far from Central Cambridge. Cambridge Town area is a disappointment, drunks and vagrants, small measly shops and a bit... more

We booked two rooms for ourselves and my in-laws for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The made to order breakfasts every morning were great and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to Harvard and the other colleges and very close to underground transportation into Boston. We would definitely stay there again and... more

We stayed here for three nights while we went apartment hunting in Cambridge. What a wonderful place! Beautiful rooms (due to our last minute booking we ended up staying in two rooms, 19 and 6), clean, comfy... Free wifi which you can use in your room, a nice patio to hang out and enjoy the sun on, tea and home-made... more

This was a Karen Brown recommendation, and we had high expectations. Stayed here for 2 nights during a HOT July week, and our first impression was quite positive - the air conditioning worked very well! We were in Room 5, which has it's own entrance from the street. The room was nicely and tastefully appointed, although there were a number... more

I should have written this sooner but better late than never. Stayed here a night and it was so charming. Such a pretty house, and the staff was very friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed in Room 12, small room but it had a round window which took up almost the entire wall, it was very impressive. We actually got... more

I stayed for almost 5 weeks here and really thought the place was lovely. Rooms were cosy with Cable TV and wireless internet access. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice and afternnon tea was served between 3 and 7 with fresh home-baked goodies. Convenient to both Harvard and Porter Sq (Porter Square is a bit closer). No elevator... more

Lovely room in a sweet inn. The parking was easy, but a bit tight. The breakfast was exceptional and comfortable in a beautiful dining room. Easy walk to Harvard Law School and Harvard Square. more

I would recommend staying here but don't expect to be offered any type of customer service. You can book your room on Expedia for great discount which makes the stay worth while. The rooms upstairs are just as nice as the ones below. We reserved a king room because it was a friend and I to share a room. When... more

I stayed at the Mary Prentiss Inn in Room 3 in late September '05. I was visiting the Harvard Center for Astrophysics. This B&B is extremely convenient for CfA, since it is located on Mass Ave one block south of Linnean, and so is a short (5-10 minute) walk to CfA. It is maybe 10 minutes or a little more... more
