This was a parents weekend, so availability was limited. This is a lovely place - our room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bedroom has hardwood floors, a good hanging closet, but minimal (2 small) drawers for shirts, underwear, ect., so we worked out of our suitcases for four days. That was ok. Where we had a problem was... more

I have never written a bad review before but this one I guess I need to get out of my system because it was so awful. I have reread many of the reviews and it seems that the best reviews are those when the travelers have the place to themselves. The worse ones are when the family is there. We... more

I have read some of the complaints about Lotus Place and to some degree they are valid but overall I would stay here again because of the convenience. The good - easy access to subway, Harvard, MIT and no overbearing host/hostess. Some great restuarants are only a few blocks away with reasonable prices and great food. The bad - very... more

LOCATION in cambridge MA, accross the river from boston. subway station (central sq, with bars and restaurants) about 10mins walk. 24hrs convenience store and supermarket within 5 mins. ROOM the room was big. we had a huge bed in the downstairs room. nicely furnished. the one negative was that our downstairs room faced the main street and the walls are... more

First off, I'm not a huge fan of Bed and Breakfasts per se. Sometimes, their cheeky hosts and talkative guests crawl under my skin, when all I want to do is relax and disconnect from the world. Typically the Bed and Breakfast experiencec is unpleasant because hosts are "too" nice, or the old houses too creaky, but Lotus Place took... more

A frequent visitor of the Boston area, I often come down from NY over the summer to visit some friends and colleagues. I would always stay at my usual hotel during my visits, but much to my dismay they were all booked out for my visiting week. With only short notice, I looked absolutely everywhere to stay and finally decided... more

I would definitely recommend Lotus Place, particularly for those visiting Boston/Cambridge on a budget. It is reasonably priced and our room was rather large, with a big, beautiful, clean bathroom. Plus, you get some extra space in the kitchen area. The high point is definitely the cleanliness. If you're looking for a charming b&b with lots of personality and friendly... more

We stayed at Lotus Place as the last two nights of a New England tour. We booked a room with private bathroom room and I think this is worthwhile. We had the top floor to ourselves- that is, one room of two at either end of a massive attic with a fully fitted goreous kitchenette and even a settee and... more

We stayed for four nights in this B&B/Guest House for a convention and considered it a singular success, especially at a price that undercuts many places in Boston/Cambridge by nearly half. The Central T stop (red line) is about a half mile walk. The neighborhood is a mix of middle-class homes and newly-renovated condos with what seems to be a... more

A Bed & Breakfast that's not old and smelly... delightful caretakers.... a lil awkward on the arrival process... but once in....fabulous amenities..... tons of breakfast goodies 24 hours a day.... my husband and I enjoyed breakfast out on the balcony... free parking and so much cheaper than neighboring hotels... the last time we were in Boston and stayed at an... more
