Decent hotels in Boston are expensive. We chose the Kendall because it had good reviews and was more reasonably priced than those downtown. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is quaintly American, although only 20 years old, and our large room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The included buffet breakfast was also good with a reasonable hot and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay here, 10-15 September. Within yards of Kendall MIT subway station, so we could be in the centre of Boston in minutes and there is a direct connection to the airport by Silverline busses from South Station. Great room, spacious, nicely furnished in slightly quirky style...no chain hotel decor here. Very comfortable bed, and... More

We had a wonderful four night stay at the Kendall Hotel at the end of this summer while helping our child move to Harvard University. Even though one needs to take the T to reach Harvard, the hotel was the perfect choice for our stay. It was highly recommended to us by someone familiar with the area and it did... More

The hotel was as good as we had expected based on the reviews. Full of character with very clean and spacious rooms.Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and coffee that tasted of coffee! Being so near the T station meant that we were never far from anywhere we wanted to be. The first thing we did when we arrived... More

I've stayed at this hotel many times before. It was, until now, one of my favorites in Boston - Cambridge area. But something must have gone wrong to make such a nice hotel a terrible place to stay. New management? Very likely. Lack of attention to details? Definitely. Poor customer relations? Yes. My disappointment started at the Black Sheep restaurant.... More

The Kendall Hotel is probably the best Hotel we have stayed at, ever! We have stayed at a few Historic Hotels of America, some more fabulously decorated than the Kendall, but the Kendall trumps them all. There is nothing really flashy or ostentatious about the hotel although the styling of the hotel throughout is inspiring, the lobby more so than... More

I travel a lot for business and was happy to find the Hotel Kendall, which is smack in the middle of the MIT section of Cambridge a few blocks from my client. The main section of the building is a restored firehouse and contains many related artifacts as décor. Many of the guests seem to be student families, however it... More

Nice rooms in this historic hotel. Wi-fi is kind of paid because it was included in our package but detailed on final bill. and internet access is very fast in the room with choice of connection with a patch cord or via wi-fi with an in room Access Point. We did appreciate the garage parking with direct access to the... More

The Kendall was lovely. A historic firehouse, adorable rooms, wifi, and a very impressive breakfast spread. Just steps from a T stop and across the street from Google. I loved my stay. There is also a restaurant in the lobby, The Black Sheep. Great eats.

Glad you liked Boston, and our hotel, for that matter. Our Chef puts a ton of thought and effort into the planning and execution of The Black Sheep menu, so I will be sure to pass along your regards. She loves compliments. Hope to see you again soon. My best, Brenda More
