This is one of my favorites in Boston. Always a great staff that is ready at anytime to assist in anyway. Parker at the front desk helped us with dinner and bar recommendations, which worked out perfectly. My boyfriend and I were just in for a relaxing weekend and we could not have picked a better place to stay. I... More

We decided on staying at this hotel having read other reviews and we were in no way disappointed, as this was our first stop on our recent trip to the USA. We were visiting from the UK for our trip to New England in the "fall". Really friendly welcome by Brian who came down to the car park to help... More

We often stay on business and enjoy the break from the chains. It has character and this more than offsets any flaws (slightly slow wifi and basic breakfast). Highly recommended for business travellers. There are also some great restaurants within walking distance.

A nice old structure near MIT (but far from center Cambridge and Boston). Ample rooms, but small common spaces. The service has to be strongly improved. The breakfast is poor, and you have to carry your tray and to find a table, in general occupied (see small common spaces) or to be cleaned. The personnel seems to be not trained... More

I stayed two nights at the Kendall Hotel early October. The Hotel looks like a nice boutique hotel but it lacks minimum comfort... like a warm shower. We were three of us in three different rooms and we all ran out of hot water in the shower in the morning. Even when the shower was hot, it was a rather... More

We researched everything we could about hotels near MIT and this one always stuck out as an interesting change of pace from the traditional hotels, and we were not disappointed. The firestation (front) rooms are a bit small, with unique shapes and styles, but I am glad we were placed there for our first stay at the Kendall. The back... More

The Kendall hotel is ideally located in the MIT area of Boston. This probably accounts for the clientele who seem to be largely students or parents of students. The hotel is quite nicely appointed with clean and comfortable rooms with quaint antique furniture and reasonable bathrooms although there were some plumbing problems. The hand held shower did not function so... More

I am saddened to hear that your experience was not to your liking. The Kendall offers a different experience than those had at chains and 5 star hotels. It is a boutique hotel fashioned out of Victorian firehouse, personally renovated and appointed by the owners. We are a small family business and it simply does not have the set-up you... More

Our family of four stayed here for a weekend. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. The decorations are quaint. The underground garage is on the small side - I cannot imagine parking a larger car without hitting something.

This is a superb hotel, located right at the Kendall/MIT Station on the Red Line, making it a short trip to any place in the city. The repurposing of an old fire house as a hotel was expertly accomplished and the fire house theme is reflected in much of the decoration throughout the hotel. Our room was large, nicely furnished,... More

Just outside Boston, in Cambridge, but so easy to get to everywhere as it is right beside the "T". Not your usual chain hotel, used to be the old Fire House. Just loved all the quirky touches and it was so comfortable, so many dalmation dog pictures! The breakfast is superb, and (even though we only ate one night) the... More
