Charming rooms and excellent location - right across the street from Regal Seafoods and a block from the metro. Helpful staff, quick service. It used to be a fire station, which lends a particular whimsy. I didn't try to restaurant but the diners looked happy!

Comfort, charm, convenience and value. This is beautifully appointed boutique hotel with a lovely restaurant that seems to be frequented for dinner by MIT faculty. The service was lovely and really the room couldn't have been more perfect. We took a room with a pull-out couch for our college-age son and the 3 of us were perfectly comfy.

We booked months in advance and upon arrival were told they were oversold and we'd be staying at the Marriott across the street. We booked a boutique hotel only to be extremely disappointed. The hotel itself looks very cute. The parking area is steep drive in and very tight fit. We felt that they should of gone out of their... More

I extend my apologies. Any instance of disappointment experienced by a guest is taken very seriously. We are a small hotel that experiences over-bookings from time to time due to reservations made through third party sites, and they are frustrating for us too. We made a thoughtful effort to make the best of a bad situation by placing you a... More

We stayed here for 14 nights December/January and it was great. It was warm and cosy and very comfortable. It is very conveniently placed for the Metro which took us into the heart of Boston where we walked and walked. It was a truly wonderful holiday. The only downside was having to find places to eat as the restaurant was... More

The Kendall hotel is a nice address to stay in, a few hundred meters from the fellow bridge to Boston Beacon hill, and walking distance from Harvard Campus, only 79 rooms, a nice atmosphere in this old victorian firehouse, small restaurant (try the vegetarian cambridge burger), large room with excellent king bed, very good breakfast, we will come back if... I can't give our experience a "Very Good", and seeing how it was closer to "Average" that's what they're getting. Sprung a $25 parking charge on me when it wasn't listed online or any correspondence. Elevator painfully slow, so I always took the stairs between the 3rd floor and lobby. Breakfast was very good. Only option for meat was bacon,... More

I only spent one night here, but would stay here again in the future anytime I am staying in Cambridge. This hotel has lots of character, making it a fun place to be, but the quality matches the creativity. The room was spotless and had every amenity I could ask for (including free room-by-room wi-fi). The staff were helpful and... More

We stayed for the weekend. The service and staff were great, and the room was fine (look elsewhere if you need a fridge or microwave). The location for MIT is great, and within a block of subway stop. The up and down can be slow with seven floors and only one elevator. The included breakfast is far superior to the... More

We have to travel to Boston once a month for eye treatments. We chose the Kendall, at first because it was directly across the street from the MERCI eye institute. We continue to stay there because it does not feel like a hotel. From the historic treatment (the building is the old firehouse #7) of the decor to the cleaver... More

I recently stayed here at the Kendall for a couple of weeks on a business trip and I LOVED it! This hotel is, by far, one of the best I have had the pleasure of visiting. It is unique and charming, with all sorts of fun and quirky artwork around, definitely not the sort of "cookie-cutter" decorations you see when... More
