Hotel Veritas is a charming little hotel within walking distance to Harvard, restaurants, and shops. My first night was admittedly a little rough. I arrived after midnight on Friday night and checked into room 304, which is a Petit Queen. I noticed when I walked in that the room smelled like urine. Too tired to complain, I went to bed.... Our late (11:30PM) check-in was charmingly handled by the night-porter, then the family moved into two rooms for our two-night stay. Both rooms were indeed quite small, but the bathrooms were each generously sized, and the expert design of the bedrooms (along with notably high quality of furnishings and fittings) meant that, whilst not large, our rooms were luxuriously comfortable.... A charming hotel retrofitted into a 4 story, 1880s Victorian building. The room I had was a petite queen. It had the bonus of a bay window, and that's something you get in the average hotel. I've been in similar sized hotel rooms in other cities that felt cramped, and that was not the case here. While the hotel lacks... More

Arrived by car. No one outside to indicate what to do with the car as valet parking is available. Room was petit queen. Petit does not cover it. The closet could not be fully opened as it hit the bed. Difficult to walk from the entry door around the bed as the space was extremely narrow. No place to put... More

This place far exceeded my expectations - it doesn't look much from the outside but inside is a different story. I stayed for 3 nights in August while visiting Boston and New England with a friend. The prices for the downtown chain hotels were astronomical so we took a gamble on this place which was much more moderately priced. The... More

Hotel Veritas has the look and feel of a classy boutique hotel. But my visit left a lot to be desired. My room was tiny. No chair in the room. I had to open my suitcase in the closet. No room for a luggage stand. Luckily, I was alone because there was no place for a second suitcase. There was... More

Nice small hotel with very helpful staff. Walking distance to Harvard Square. Free WiFi, newspaper, coffee, soda all very welcoming. Not the nickel and diming that often happens in other places. Go for it.

What a charming and elegant boutique hotel in the heart of Cambridge. The rooms are beautiful and well-decorated. They are on the smaller side, as are most rooms in big cities, but very comfortable. We were upgraded to a room with a patio which was such a nice addition. Amenities were top notch and the front desk staff was more... More

Awesome location for visiting Harvard University. Clean, interesting décor. Friendly staff. Very strange bread-type items provided in the morning. Across the street from a great burger place with 29 kinds of burgers but also interesting salads (Boston Burger).

Small upscale hotel. Located perfectly for Harvard activities: 3 blocks from the museums, 4 from Tercentenary Theater and Widener. Lovely appointments. The "junior" and less pricey rooms are tight but comfortable. The lobby was congenial. The breakfast was modest in selection but elegant nevertheless. A gem both for comfort and location.
