I guess I'm just too old, but I think for $59 a night plus taxes, the room should be nice. This room was just one full bed, with worn carpet and retouched bath tub. Overall, plain shabby without the chic. To be fair, the girl at the front desk was very nice, but she said because I booked through Travelocity,... More

1 To get a cheaper rate you booked your room upstairs. (You wanted a downstairs room) 2 During check in process, we had brought to your attention 3 times to report any problem/s with your room immediately. We would have given you a different room or refunded 100% of your money. We did not hear from you all night. 3... More

I have stayed at this Econo Lodge before, and will stay again next time I'm in the area. The prices are VERY reasonable, and much less than the other hotels close by. (Holiday Inn, Hampton) They had remodeled a lot of the rooms last time I was there, and have finished them all now. New mattresses and bedding, new pillows,... More

I have been staying at this Econo Lodge for over 20 years when visiting Ft Payne. It has a very convenient locations, pleanty of Restaurants, Walmart & Kmart nearby. The Rooms have always been clean and the staff is always friendly. They offer Continental breakfast as well. My kids loved the pool too. It is a older property so it... More

Check in was quite easy & took 2 minutes. Easy to get to location right off interstate. Room/bathroom very clean. Linens clean Had a problem with the toilet running, Clerk tired to fix it, as did I. She promptly offered to change our room. After 9 hours of driving, I was way too tired to pack everything up & move... More

The title of my review may be misleading a bit because there was no storm but it was a nice find nonetheless. I happened to have stopped in this town on the eve of probably their biggest weekend; the longest garage sale in history or some none sense like that so I was lucky to have even gotten a room... My husband and I are starting early on the Worlds Longest Yard Sale and decided to investigate Ft Payne which is close to the route laid out for the yard sales. We were able to check in early which counts a lot for us. Our room 101 is between breakfast room and breakfast room set up and closest to the... More

While traveling from Bon Aqua, TN to MS we traveled through Fort Payne, Alabama. We stopped at 2:30 a.m. To check availability at Econo Lodge. The lady at the counter, Melanie, was very friendly. She helped us get a room at a reasonable price very quickly. Our room was nice and clean and we slept very well with no disturbances.... More

If you don't have a credit card, you can't stay here. Grounds are in disrepair and stairs are in bad shape. I suggest going elsewhere anyway as their pool is empty anyway.Poor poor poor............. poor

(1) If the guest had noticed, he would have noticed that there was all kind of repair work going on, therefore, things were not as clean as it should be. (2) We accept cash, however, for back up we require credit card. There are some guests, who simply cause damage to the room. (smoke in non smoking room, sneak in... More
