I felt quite at home at Hawthorne Lodge; breakfasts were terrific, generous...I miss them so! All facilities, car park, etc., very nice. Comfy beds, lots of literature to plan outings. An unforeseen stumble on Holy Island resulted in soiled clothing which the proprietress gladly laundered for me....much above the call of duty, and much appreciated.
