This is a very well located hotel for visiting Skogarfoss. It acts as a good base to visit the nearby areas of Seljalandsfoss, Dyrholaey, Vik beach and the airoplane crash site. It is a well maintained place with sauna and hot tub facilities. The only drawback I would say is the size of the rooms and the WCs. Its an... More

This is a lovely small hotel (boutique if you're trying to sound posh). Great service and what surprised us was the quality of the food which you wouldn't expect from such a small place. Not only were the ingredients great but the level of cooking was amasing. We had a 4 course meal, ranging from a proper lobster broth to... More

We stayed (sadly) for only one night, and I think this is now my favourite hotel in the world. We had upgraded to the Deluxe room, so had a small balcony overlooking the magnificent waterfalls. The room itself felt modern, and was all great. We ate there in the evening, and between us had an amazing meal. The breakfast was... More

Lovely to stay in a small boutique hotel with only 12 rooms you get a real personal touch. I loved the style of the hotel. We had a deluxe room on the first floor with views over the back towards Skogarfoss waterfall so it was great to be able to just walk to it. The hotel has a very welcoming... More

More of a bed and breakfast feel than a hotel. We stayed only for a few hours...checked in at 10pm and out at 8am...so we did not get to enjoy the property much. The hotel itself was very nice, not luxurious or grandiose, but nice and comfortable (think Hobbit hole...warm and cozy). The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice,... More

Stayed one night in this hotel. It's clean and comfortable with efficient, pleasant staff. The highlight though is the quality of the evening meals- excellent! A small, cosy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and great food. A lovely end to the day.

We had the room with the view of the falls but not sure it was really worth it. Very friendly scottish people running it and the food was surprisingly good. Let down by a few small things though - no shampoo etc - and to be honest the immediate surroundings aren't very smart.

Once again we found this to be ideal for a relaxing overnight stay. Small, cosy hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, a superb meal and a wonderful evening in the sauna and hot tub in a snowstorm. The hotel is a short stroll from Skogafoss, very accessible from route 1 and close to all the south coast has to... More

This smaller hotel has clean, updated rooms with big windows to enjoy the verdant surroundings. We came in late and left early, so didn't have time to enjoy the sauna and hot tub. Woke to the chatting sound of oystercatcher birds in the lawns and the distant hiss of Skógafoss. Tasty dinners and small, but delicious breakfast buffet. (I actually... More
