We've been on Iceland for 11 days now and we were very pleased to find this gem for a late night dessert and coffee. There was a wide selection of yummy cakes, all freshly made. If people think this is expensive, it means they have not acclimated to Iceland yet. For us, it was the cheapest cake and coffee we've... More

Worst meal in iceland. The burger i ate arrived two minutes after ordering and the "baked potato" was three small wedges that were fridge cold. Wifi did not work. Service was poor and inattentive. And the prices were just ridiculous, the burger is almost 20$ cdn and it the thonnest patty youll see. Whats more, i got very ill with... More

We stopped off here for a coffee and cake - as usual the prices are fairly high in Iceland however in this case the coffee wasn't that great and the piece of cake was about half the size of a normal slice, so we felt a bit ripped off! There are many better places to stop off at :(

Hi Mr. Majestic M - I want to answer this rate you gave us in Eldstó Art Café. I´m selling very good quality coffee from the TE&KAFFE shop in Reykjavík. The price I have is not higher than in their Cafes. The cakes I´m selling are large slices for 990 ISK pr. slice and that is not expensive in Iceland,... More

We arrived on the ferry from Vestmannaeyjar late in the afternoon, so we wanted to find someplace for lunch on the way to our next destination. We happened upon this place along the ring road and gave it a shot. The food is basic sandwiches, soup, cakes and such, but it was tasty and reasonable priced. They also serve a vegetable... More

Excellent Coffee shop/tea rooms with plenty to look at while you are enjoying your drinks and snacks. We didn't stay in the Hotel part so can't comment, but the atmosphere and art works in the Cafe area were great. The staff were very efficient and very friendly. Not overpriced for such good quality too.

The staff wasn't friendly, after we paid for the room and just gave us the key and we had to find the room ourselves. Room was on 2nd floor which above the Cafe kitchen, with a long narrow and steep stairs. it was difficult to walk up and down. Therefore we didn't bother bring our backpacks to the room. There... Greetings and thanks for your visit. I'm genuinely sorry if my staff was not sufficiently friendly or helpful and I will personally discuss this with the corresponding members. As a policy we generally don't escort people to their individual rooms, as all our 5 bedrooms are on the second floor and well marked, therefor easy to find. If the stairs... More

Even during the off season, this was a lovely stay. We stayed at the Eldsto Guesthouse for one night during our March 2014 trip. The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable, and spacious. We were ate getting into town, and the host was still very accommodating.

We ate a quick lunch here in June 2014. Atmosphere: was very cute- there is a little art gallery in the back, so you can browse ceramics and other art items while you wait for lunch. There was also local music playing in the background which made for a peaceful little stop from Route 1. Food: We both got the... More

We stayed at the Eldsto Guesthouse for one night during our May 2014 trip. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Wifi was free and the signal was strong. We utilized the kitchen facilities and thought they were well-equipped. Location is very convenient for exploring the area. Only minor consideration would be to know that Eldsto is on the... More
