True to the pictures, the rooms are clean and modern and the upstairs game room is comfortable and nice too. The service was great, breakfast was good, and the surrounding views are spectacular. It's definitely not cheap in the height of summer tourist season, but it's one of very few places around and convenient to all of the locations we... More

There were 7 in our group, We stayed 3 nights, Our rooms were ready when we arrived (mid afternoon) The rooms are cozy, beds are comfortable. Can't say enough about the manager of the hotel, he was exceptional. Thank you for everything Domanick. The hotel is centrally located on the South shore near, Skogarfoss, Þjórsárdalur and Dyrholaey about 30min from... More

This building in the picture is the entire guesthouse! The room is clean, small. The bathroom is small! The place is in the middle of nowhere. But, it was a clean roof over our heads, an ample breakfast in the morning, and off we went.

we stayed in edinborg for two nights. the hostel located in quiet surrounding area, 20 mins car ride from Vik, but very closed to waterfall and Eyjafjallajokull. the host is a very kind man, he prepared everything for the guests, so the environment was clean and tidy with basic necessicities, he provided the towels again without question (we had lots... We stayed in this guesthouse at the end of May. Our group was the only 5 guests in the place for that night. We were warmly greeted and our host showed us around and explained how to get to the hidden natural pool. (This is the best place to stay to visit the pool.) The guesthouse was very clean, with... We enjoyed our time in this little hotel. It has only 6 cosy rooms, they are not big but they are ensuite and have great views to the landscape outside. It looks recently renovated, in a minimalistic style. It looks clean and modern. It is very handy only 5 minutes drive to Skogarfoss and Seijalandfoss, right in the middle of... More

This is a small hotel (roughly 6 double bed rooms), plenty of parking, relatively rustic and basic. The first issue you may have to deal with is finding the place. We had the address as Lambafell, Hvolsvollur, Iceland. So, we went to Hvolsvollur and asked around about where this might be. None of the local establishments knew about it. We... More

I've just tried contacting this hotel by phone and email but can't reach them. I phoned someone at the neighbouring Lambafell Bed & Breakfast who said they were closed since the volcano erupted (although the previous review is from January so I'm not sure).

If you are looking to get away from the bustling city, this is your place! Nestled at the foot of a glacier and volcano, the views are beyond amazing. There are two private cottages and a main house with 6 guestrooms. The quaint charm of the guestrooms and the coziness of the shared living area will make you feel right... More

This is a wonderful little hotel with a homey, cottage-like feel -- very warm and relaxing. They offer two private cottages and 6 rooms in the main building. We stayed in Room 2, a corner room with 2 windows affording gorgeous views of the deep green, mist covered countryside. As a selective hotel visitor, I would highly recommend this hotel;... More
