This place was great. However, make sure you know what you are (and are not) getting before you reserve a room. This is a clinic, so you will not find the usual perks of a hotel/spa. No room service, no food (except breakfast, which was great), very limited bar, somewhat stark room. However, the breath-taking scenery, complete with private decks... More

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend break to Iceland and on our last night we stayed at the Blue Lagoon Clinic and it literally blew me away! There is two sections to the complex - the main section where the day spa where all the treatments etc are carried out and the main lagoon is based, and then the... More

Highly recommend. I think Reviewer DH76 captured the experience beautifully. We had planned to hit the ground running once we arrived in Iceland (for a 6 day trip on our way to Denmark). About a week before we left, I got concerned about our night flight from NY which was only 5 hours and basically meant we would miss a... More

The hot baths here are awesome! Rooms are decent, good value for money especially considering that you get a free pass to the main blue lagoon. We arrived late at night but the reception was helpful and sorted out everything for us.

We ended our recent visit to Iceland with 2 nights at the Blue Lagoon Clinic, and it was lovely, overall. After a long day of exploring and hiking around Grindavik and the Reykjanes area, coming back here to soak in the private lagoon in the evening is just heavenly. I am surprised at the reviews calling it "soul-less" and "clinical"-... More

We loved this hotel, and would have stayed a second night if our plans had allowed it. The outside is unpromising but inside is a beautifully designed hotel, making the most of the local rock. The spa and pools are on one side of reception, and the hotel rooms set around a courtyard on the other side. It was grey... More

In contrast to the other reviewers, I find this "clinic" the "most luxurious" in all the hotels we have visited in Iceland. It is relative, of course, as generally I wouldn't use this term to describe the hotels in Iceland. They are charming in their own way but not quite luxurious. Blue Lagoon Clinic had a very nice minimalistic feel... More

Now, I was probably a bit spoilt before I stayed in this hotel as we had just come from a 3 night stay at Hotel Ranga, which was warm, lovely and welcoming. Possibly if I had stayed at this hotel first I might have a different opinion of it, but I intend to agree totally with the reviewer with the... More

Our first mistake was not to make it clear to the bus driver that we were getting off at the clinic rather than the Blue Lagoon itself - stupidly I didn't think they were very far from one another - but with 3 heavy suitcases and a path you cannot drag them over and have to lift them over it... After landing in Keflavik International Airport at 7 am, I took a taxi to the Blue Lagoon Clinic. The Blue Lagoon doesn't open until after 9 am, but the Clinic with the hotel rooms is always open to you if you've booked a room. Economic buses to the Blue Lagoon don't start leaving the airport until 9:30ish. The taxi was... More
