I stayed here for a fellowship that was taking place at the nearby (and amazing) Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The company sponsoring the fellowship paid for my room, but if I was paying I would have gone to a different hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and updated...except the AC. While I was there the heat index was... more

If your going to see all the Lincoln things available in the area this is a great place to stay because of its location. For a Hilton I'd expect free parking and a staff that could answer simple questions - they don't and can't ! Breakfast for two: $26, and nothing special. The bed and pillows are really great and... more

The location is good. Room is clean and comfortable. Lobby and front desk service is good. But the drawbacks are, no parking(you have to park in the municipal lot paying $8/day), neither complimentary breakfast nor in-room wireless internet( you have to pay $10/day extra for that). more

I traveled to Springfield for my graduation from University of Illinois. My entire family stayed at the Hilton, based on my research and the fact that they trust my opinion as a picky traveler. The Hilton was a pleasant surprise. I typically stay at luxury boutique hotels, but this HIlton was nicer than expected. When I travel to small cities,... more

I have stayed numerous times at the Springfield Hilton and it has quickly become the only place that I choose to stay when I am in Springfield, IL for business or pleasure. Located downtown near the area's Lincoln sites and the Old State Capitol, the Hilton towers over the rest of the city. It is a 31 story round tower... more

I can't believe this place is really a Hilton. It is a complete disaster area from the minute you arrive until you leave. The place is under construction. The signage is poor. The check in experience was horrible. The check in "manager" was rude. Our special requests for foam pillow and extra towels never arrived. Our room was old and... more

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. I would say this is an above-average hotel. They renovated recently, which improves the overall appearance. The beds are comfortable, they give you lots of pillows, and the hotel is generally well kept. In fact, I am extremely picky about cleanliness—and this hotel will not gross out... more

While slightly over priced, the Hilton in Springfield is a terrific location for doing business with the state. Upper floor rooms have a nice view of the city, the Bennigans attached to the hotel is a novelty now that the chain is gone but is of average quality. The nearby parking garage is somewhat over priced for a town of... more

We were meeting another family in Springfield IL to celebrate NYE. We have 4 boys and they have 2 . We booked 2 double rooms and a king suite. Upon checkin, I requested a suite with a connecting room with a good view of the fireworks, and that our friend's room be very close by. The front desk staff was... more
