This was my second stay at the Abe Lincoln hotel and it was pretty much the same as the first but I wanted to add a few more comments. Pros: Clean, Spacious, Restaurant in hotel, Coffee shop in lobby, Quiet, Air Conditioning effective and quiet, Close to all of Abes attractions except his burial plot which is a few miles... more

As our experience with the hotel itself was good enough, at least for the rate found at hotels.com, try at all costs to avoid the breakfast restaurant. Unfortunately, we were there on a Sunday, and we could not find any open restaurants nearby. The food was cheap, the price was high - and the staff was unusual unfriendly compared with... more

The President Abraham Lincoln Hotel is a nice hotel with an excellent location in Springfield IL . Springfield is not a big town but its still great to have a hotel in walking distance of many of the historic sites. The hotel though lacks in some of the amenities that would make it a great place to stay. Its 2009... more

This hotel was great, i was excpecting this hotel to be a little dirty at first because there were know pictures, but that was obviously nothing to worry about, the rooms are on the small side, and the pool looked old. but other than that this place is great. and make sure you reccomend that you stay on the 8th... more

I am used to nice 4 star hotels, but this time decided to spend half of the Hyatt across the street and take our chances. It turned out to be a good choice because, for the most part, it felt quite similar to an expensive hotel and the staff was helpful several times. Only complaint is that our non-smoking room... more

I saw in the previous reviews that the reaction to the Lincoln Hotel was mixed. I was concerned, but the location and price was right, and we were only staying one night, so I gave it a chance. I'm so happy we did. The room was definately clean and comfortable. We have no complaints. The breakfast buffet was substantial for... more

We booked the President Abraham Lincoln on a last-minute trip to Springfield for Lincoln's 200th birthday. I got it for $75 per night on Expedia, and wasn't expecting much because of the bad reviews on TripAdvisor. But it turns out the place is fantastic! The room was spacious and spotless (we were on the 8th floor). It even had a... more

I stayed in room 316 which was very disappointing. Since I was on business I did not complain but the carpet was soiled through out, the walls and ceiling had large dirty or scrap marks on them. The bathroom floor had not been swept therefore there was multiple hairs on the floor. The bed sheets were clean and the rest... more

I have not been to SPFLD in years and I was recommended to the Presidental Abraham Lincoln Hotel. I could not have been more pleased. The rooms were lovely, the hotel staff curtious, vallet parking, room service was termendous and the hotel resturant I believe Lyndsay's was some of the best food I had the entire weekend. The Manager at... more

I was in Springfield on business and stayed at the Hilton across the street the night before. The difference was so stark. The only room available was a smoking room (I don't smoke). It was so smelly that my clothing smelled like cigars the next day. The lighting was dim, the floors, walls, heating vents and bathroom fan felt very... more
