We booked least expensive room as it was a business trip for me.The Dahlia was quite nicely appointed. Chocolate shortbread cookies left in a basket on bedroom door at night and wine service in the upper hall were pleasant surprises. Staff wasn't especially warm or welcoming. Perhaps they were too busy as they had a full house. Breakfast was average... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Hyacinth Suite. Wonderful room. Breakfasts were great and the wine and cheese in the evening in the parlor was really nice too. Many historic Lincoln sites are within blocks as is the Illinois State Museum and the Frank-Loyd Wright designed Dana-Thomas house (2 blocks). We will definitely stay there again, delightful. More

Beautiful rooms, beautiful location! A bit pricey for the area it is in. Breakfast was served in a tiny little shared dining area and was okay but certainly not our favorite. Room was perfect in every sense but a little pricey in our opinion for the immediate area. More

Having stayed in many B and B's and inns around the world, I was prepared for the Inn at 835 to be, well, fine. Instead, it was a top-notch experience, ranking in my "best ever" list! Well organized, very attractive, room and bath well and comfortably appointed. We especially enjoyed the in-room breakfast, served on china, piping hot, and delicious.... More

My husband and I spent the night in the Lilly Room, but this review is more about the experience than the hotel itself. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was a little more expensive than a lot of the chain hotels in the area, but the extra cost was well worth it. One reviewer on Tripadvisor gave the... More

The B&B is a lovely building, beautifully restored and nicely maintained. It is conveniently located near the State Capital. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The shower was a little funky but about what you'd expect using the original pedestal tub. Breakfast, however, was a disaster. My meal of eggs, bacon and pancakes came cold. I sent... More

This weekend three friends and I stayed at the Inn at 835. We were fortunate to be able to stay in the Orchid Suite and thought it beautifully appointed and utterly charming, it even had a veranda. We participated in the Wine & Cheese Welcome in the main Living Room and met two other couples who were staying at the... More

The interior has been restored very nicely!Very good location to downtown, walkable. Although our room was just ok.Very small, with a shared deck. The other couple smoked,so that was a negative. For a B&B I think the breakfasts were just ok,except for the eggs benedict which was very good. We had some issues with the cleanliness of our room, which kind of creaped us out,and... More

I have stayed at many B&Bs, and this one was the best by far. Customer service is kinda of becoming a thing of the past--this Inn exceeded any standard of customer service I had. From the warm welcome to the wine and cheese to the cookies and weather on the door to the incredible breakfast, everything was above and beyond.... More

We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast and though some other reviews had said this was not a "true B & B," for us it was an amazing experience! The room, the veranda (our favorite area), the ambiance, the food, and being able to walk for blocks and see interesting and historical settings was so gratifying. And, the... More
